Hi everyone

Thanks for all the great information about SW in this thread. I've been reading about the Hagon rear shocks, and I'm seriously considering getting it for my bike which is a 2001 SW400 model.

I've checked out the website wemoto.com and they have the Hagon shocks available for 2001 SW 600cc. Here below the direct link to the page selling the shock.

http://www.wemoto.com/bikes/honda/fjs_600_silverwing_scooter_1/01/picture/hagon_scooter_rear_shocks/

May I know if this Hagon shock for the 2001 SW 600cc will fit my bike. Are the shocks for year 2001 year SW 400cc and 600cc identical?

Thanks in advance for your advice!

http://www.wemoto.com/bikes/honda/fjs_400_d6_d7_d8_silverwing/06-08/picture/hagon_scooter_rear_shocks/

btw, the same hagon shocks are used for both 400cc & 600cc :p

Hi Scooby

thanks for the reply! Isn't the page you indicated for FJS/JDM400 that is made between 2006-2008? My SW is from year 2001.

Which one should I go for?

the main chassis of FJS/JDM SW remained almost unchanged since its launch in 2001, so should fit.

in fact, that pair of hagon shocks can also fit SWT :)

but one very important thing you must note, the rear will become higher by about 3~5cm after fitting. the hagon shocks are slightly longer with much harder springs than the stock ones, thus have a lot less sag (from the weight of bike n rider).

According to Hagon, the default length of Hagon Type M twin shocks for SW is 430mm long. From the above picture, the Hagon shock seems to be much longer (at "natural" length), but actual measurement showed that difference is about 5mm.

According to feedback from many Hagon users, the rear of SW becomes about 30~50mm higher after fitting the hagon twin shocks. This, they say, could be due to Hagons being 5mm longer and using stiffer springs that holds the weight of the rear section higher against gravity. The softer springs of the stock shocks allows the rear to "sag" lower, especially with pillion.

have fun

The FP60 is for wat de huh?

Disclaimer:

I am not endorsing this product in any sense... just happen to be a satisfied user of this pinkish juice

What is FP60?

FP 60 is a fuel additive that according to its distributor (Lube Control Distribution Inc.), increases combustion efficiency, lubricates fuel pumps and injectors, cleans the fuel system, and potentially increases mileage.

FP60 is special blend of chemicals designed to clean your vehicle’s fuel system and increase the potential energy in the fuel mixture. This in turn will potentially increase fuel mileage and lengthen vehicle running time. This product will not only clean but protect a vehicle’s fuel system by leaving a thin protective coat of oil over vital fuel system parts including fuel pump, gas tank and fuel injectors. FP60 also acts as a fuel stabilizer by dissolving carbon deposits and lowering the fuel mixture freezing points in both gas and diesel fuels. This product has also been proven to decrease both carbon monoxide and nitrous oxide emissions up to 30% which will reduce pollution.

Instead of being sold in gallons, distributors here repacked it and sells at smaller bottles (2 sizes), see pic below:

http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/1848/1279/320/Resized_DSC00271.jpg

Where to buy?

Dunno whether still selling or not...

FP60 is currently available at the following dealers:

-K&T (Ubi Road 1, Block 3006)

-RaceWerks (Bukit Merah Lane 2, Block 1005)

-Bikeworks (ShunLi Ind Park, No. 157)

-Mah Motorparts (Opp Sim Lim Tower)

-Eddy Ong (AMK Ind Park 1)

-AHM Performance (Eunos Ave 4, Block 1063)

-MotoWorld (Kaki Bukit)

More to Come!

a satisfied biker's write-up...

http://loudexhaust.blogspot.com/2006/08/fp-60-long-term-test-result.html

This is the main reason I have continued to use FP-60.

I feel my bike is more responsive when I have FP-60 added, compared to when there isn't.

The improvement in responsiveness is pretty obvious to me.

I say liao. With FP-60, the engine feels and sounds more smooth (like those nice nice shenton way office girls). Without, engine like very harsh and coarse (like those swearing ah lian).

Before using FP-60, like most bikes, my finger will have lots of carbon stain when I do it on Frost. But after using FP-60 like for 3 months, I did the same thing and my finger has hardly any carbon stain on it.

a satisfied driver's write-up on FP60...

http://www.nissanforums.com/b13-91-94-chassis/120426-my-experience-fuel-power-fp60-lube.html

Third, is Fuel Power (FP60). This, I found to be the most helpful product. At the same time I started the Auto-RX treatment, I started using 1oz. FP60 mixed with 5 gallons of gas every fill up in my Sentra and Saturn. What I noticed in my Sentra is that my fuel pump, which prior to FP60 would whine loudly for about 10-15 seconds after a 75 mile road trip became silent. Also, the injector problems of needing to replace injectors or rough idle were eliminated. Actually, the idle became very steady after long term use. At first, it was not as smooth. Also, using all these products gained the best highway economy ever. On a trip to my parents I usually would get 33 miles per gallon, and I was able to get 35 miles per gallon after using everything. My Saturn also has been getting better fuel economy using the same oil (Havoline 5w-30). Also, the 12 pieces of power equipment I own have no starting problems using last years fuel treated when treated with FP60. I was religious about getting rid of old gas due to fuel related problems which required carburetor rebuilds (expensive)!
