It is the effect of UV rays. Nothing much you can do about the white helmets turning yellow unless you can block the UV rays.

Not only that, the extreme heat from our exhaust also play a part. :(

Very true....since yellow is gone, waxing helps restore the paint, remove fine scratches as well as preventing it from turning yellow again.

Dude, ever considered that sometimes it is the wax that u applied turned yellowish rather than the paint itself?

In the past i use autoglym super resin polish. I was a new rider then and tend to wax everything that has a gloss surface. good wax though but things that doesn't need waxing i also wax (helmut, helmut visor, headlight cover). The result turn out to be yellowing after sometime. The Helmut is black can't make the difference, but the brand logo suppose to be silver turns to golden colour (yah becomes GOLD edition), visor change significantly and the headlight too...

After this i never wax light coloured parts again. Got a white helmut for 2 years and just wash frequently with car detergent. For the 2 years it stays reasonably white.

Have u tried GT99 white?? or 88???(Can't remember the name) wax and wash.... It's a jap brand with full off japanese words on the container. can find them in carrefour. They have wax and washing liquid that separates light and dark coloured paint works. Since they formulate waxes and liquid for light coloured works, perhaps you can give it a shot.

Frankly speaking, i believe it's pretty hard to get back to white after it turns yellow, preventing or prolong the process is the best.
