Just to check with u guys on some battery issues.

I am riding YBR and my bike battery is those kind that need to refill battery water. After topping battery water for a month, i still cant electric start my bike. It will produce a cranky sound whenever i press the electric starter. For the moment, i have been using kick start.

However, the netrual light, headlight, signal light are still working fine. So i wish to know whether the above mentioned symptoms indicates that my battery is gone case already.

Please offer me some suggestions.

I ride a YBR. I Get that cranking sound if i never turn on my bike for 1 day. If 3 days or more, then i cannot electric start at all. Must Kickstart. But i don't mind. I am using the dry cell by the way. No need to put battery water.

So inconvenience - in this case might as well remove the starter & use kick start all the time. Where is this YBR bike made in ? Either the battery size is spec wrongly or a very poor quality unit is being given to you guys. Btw, constant topping up of battery water alway indicate overcharging of the battery, must have the regulator check, if there is a regulator in the charging system.....

The cranking sound maybe the starting motor which inturn crank your engine, by the way how long you press the button?

Hello, are you there......

@ testamant: My signals n headlight are working fine. I will check the fuse tml. As for the electrical starter motor, i have to ask mech to check.

@ limbat: YBR is made in China.

@ Boon6600: I press it for 2 - 3 seconds only.

Btw, what i want to know is as long as the battery have enough power to light my bike headlight, signal n etc (Nvm if the electrical starter is not working) then is still ok to use? Will it cause any complications?

guys, made in china starters are really not design to last - have it check asap - most likely also no replacment, similarly some agent for china cars are calling us to tool the starters & alternators...... CHECK the YBR starter best thru agent & ask for warranty.

Damn these chinese bikes! Do indian bikes such as the pulsar have the same reputation of breaking down as well? I know the malay bikes like rx-z and fz150i are quite good. Then again, nothing beats japanese bikes! The rxk still going strong, cb400... Oh when my dad found out that i got a chinese bike, he scolded me sia! Haha. :p

If expensive to replace dont bother if you changing bike. YBR kickstart is easy anyway.
