Hi all, I've noticed that my front forks are damn bloody stiff; the front wheel can jump when I go over a hump for example. Going over pot holes really gives a good wake up call too. Ordinarily I would think the shocks are probably not that good but the rear shock performs rather satisfactorily.

What could be the possible problem? I'm riding a 10 yr old Duc M400 with stock shocks, if that helps.

perhaps u can send it for servicing bro...cost about $80 to change the seal and oil...from there the mech might also be able to detect if the spring needs replacement...:thumb:

just send to check it out first in my opinion...

Servicing your forks will not cost you $80 I'm afraid. My own front forks servicing cost $230: dust covers, seals, oil and labour. Doing it at the dealer's workshop will cost much more.

Do note that the front forks for monsters are naturally stiff, the designers apparently want us to feel every bump on the road. Join the weekly saturday meeting at jalan sultan, we can help you more there.

Hmm thanks guys. Well, if it's normal then that's fine by me, was just wondering. Thenation, where actually is the meeting normally? I did pop by the monster thread, but with so many posts about almost everything under the sun I couldn't quite find the details of the weekly meeting.

Cool thanks. What time do you guys normally meet to chill out on Sat?

Lucky, thanks, but I trust my mech to do it if indeed there is a problem.

after that its become ok aredi..

but sometime later the fork tubes became scratched and it leaks fork oils.

(no its not the damn seals)

so u might want to go service & inspect ur forks quickly
