Everything is possible...as long as you know what you are doing.

To me a speaker is still a speaker. So in car or bike, still running on 12V

what does your viper speaker do. Only produce siren sound?

If you can connect 12v supply to the speaker and it starts to give the siren, then most likely you can use it with your motorcycle spy alarm (seen your post there).

If you want to be 100% safe, use the spy alarm speaker wire to trigger a relay to supply power to your viper speaker (if it runs on DC12v). From what I know, Spy alarm speaker wire gives a constant 12v supply to its own speaker.

If your viper speaker is those human speaking type then it might not work.

If what you said is true, then it should be perfectly possible to use your mp3 speaker as your bike horn. :D

For alarm, you should only use horn because of its tone signal distribution.

I wouldn't use my horn for such a purpose. Having 6A per horn going through my alarm is not something I would want to do. Even if connected via relay, I am very sure my battery would very soon be dead.

Siren speakers that came with the Spy alarm draws less than 1A at 110dB. So it is more energy efficient.

Above applies to my setup, others please take it with a pinch of salt.

Horn is not restricted to only the "beep" "beep" horn.

Horns are also used to describe a type of speaker than is shaped like a horn. All Siren speakers are considered horns.

Can be done. Wat type of sound you wan to produce? Steven Lim's voice " Can't touch this?" or "move aside" hahahha.

But I guess will need amps to boost up the sound hehhehe. Change to Car batteries (more than one if you wan concert effect) might help.

that what i wan to make

That is not possible, if your alarm does not support that speaker. There are more than 2 wires, meaning there will be some control wires to tell the speaker which audio message to output.

If you are using spy 2 way alarm, they all do not support this feature.

So easy...plug in to an MP3 Player. Then can have MJ sing for you...hahaha.

A speaker is still a speaker. Its the main unit that tells the speaker to voice out. If your unit can only beep, the sound produced from the best quality speaker is still a BEEP sound. UNLESS the speaker got an electronic component that is embedded with per-configured sounds.

BUT still need to dismantle the alarm, configure the circuits and chips to be compatible with the speaker. If you are learning electronics, then this is the moment for you to shine.

Great DIY if someone can do it.

If not wrong, in the market already have these talking alarm. Y not just buy these?

same as me,done this to my phamton and s4.

on my point of view,

1 way alarm just need to connect the +/- and the 2 cable to signal light will do.

many of my friends install the auto start cable end up also never use the function.

red - positive

black - negative

2 yellow - signal light

the rest dun touch cuz they are ignition and ignition killer plus etc etc..

2B can connect to ignition but try not to touch starter wire..

Starter for 2A and above have to bypass your CDI / security.. Which is not advisable.. :)

but why? I see the above comment, cuz you want it to be louder? Just add on speaker will do instead of taping it to your existing "horn". (correct me if i'm wrong)

sounds like installation is not done properly.. water got inbetween wires and causes your alarm to not able to function properly.. check that properly cuz I'm sure you dun wan your alarm not able to work after a huge rain.. :)

*I'm using spy alarm also.. no problem for the past few years.. *wear and tear not inclusive.. :)
