I'm using one with a non-removable inner lining , the only way in my opinion is the wipe the lining with alcohol wipes and leaving it to dry in an air-con room for say 3hrs , or best overnight , the other way is the change the inner cushion every 6 months ? or earlier ! hope that helps

The brand new strap with skinny D-rings. Custom strap pads in vinyl

bro, don't want to be a spoil sport though. This buckle is not supposed to be used on helmets. this is a normal buckle used on bags and can break easily esp after sometimes when it becomes brittle. the ones that should be used u shld chk on helmets like HJC or others where the lock is hard plastic and the inserts are made of metal. the buckle they r having are approved ones, not by our PSD cos PSD don't endorse buckled helmets, but by snell, dot etc.

just sharing my view......

Good point konspire , its definitely not approved by the relevant authorities , but the clip is not those commonly found on bags , its a high impact resistance clip ; guaranteed not the crack under extreme pressure :cheeky:

D-rings are always better than those buckles u got on ur helmet. Ur helmet strap will not loosen when strapped on D-rings.

The clip u got may not crack under pressure but will it release itself under hard pressure (accident) when ur head hit the ground hard?

IMHO, ditch those plastic buckles bro.. use back the D-rings. Don't forgo safety for ur own convinient.

just my 2cents

i could not agree more with this...double-d rings are the safest for helmets. it takes just a few seconds more only, right? unless you are using gloves and forgot to fasten them before putting on your gloves...but that shouldn't happen often, no?

oh yes everyone , according to eugene , he says the clips are used by traffic police in European countries , and it has a good safety record so far....

yes mild_slevin he does that just pop by his shop and he should be able to do it for you. I think this period his very very busy , just went there 2 days ago to get my helmet wraped up with vinyl , he said it would probably be done in 2 weeks. other than that his very quick with his projects !
