Yes of course brudder :cheeky: Its like baby food and adult's :thumb: You won't probably wanna use Lorry's EO on your car/bike too right? :p

 

i've used bike EO in my esi b4.

 

tried to top up coz my gasket up lorry already, so in the meantime use up all my remaining bike EO (putoline from LAB, semi or fully also use)

 

car still in working condition.

05.04 - 08.04: Honda Wave S (FV)

08.04 - 05.09: Honda Version S (FP)

09.08 - 08.10: Honda ESi 4dr (SBV)

04.11 - 02.12: Ducati 749 (FY)

05.09 - 07.14: Honda Wave X (FBD)

07.14 - 09.15: Yamaha Tmax 530 (FBH)

I think engine oil is all personal preference. If u can afford of cos can use better established brands. but the key i think is

 

"change more often like 3000km 5000km"

 

so if choose to use carlube those cheap kind of oil, maybe change 3000km lor. of cos u urself must be comfortable with the brand and oil.

 

wat u guys think.........same as bike engine oil concept also mah

I bought this batch (8 X 5 liters) from Suntec Carrefour early this year. Stopped by one auntie when I was on my way to the cashier, she asked me what’s inside the carton box and thought it’s something that I grabbed from a bargain sales that she was not awared of :lol:

 

I use this for the past 195,000km, the price is cheaper during sales, around S$24++ per 5 liters :thirsty:

Haha.. I know EO changing is very easy. But why don't you want to give the workshop an opportunity to make a living?

 

I am using Castrol Edge 10w/40 The factory recommended engine oil for my engine.

For arson? Used & filtered cooking oil can pour in =x

 

Joke aside, supermarket have the price tag u might be looking for.

 

We can siphon some out from our bodies. Ever since we left the army, we're also stock piling bottles of Motul and Castrol especially along the waistline.

Turbo cars EO change for 2w / 4w

 

OWS + filter = $130 / $140

 

think the above combo is reasonable given the quality.

is elf enigne oil gd?

i now trying out Elf. so far ~2500km don't feel any diff "yet" let u know after i change @ 5000km

I heard gd feedbacks about tis EO... Then wat about the bad feedbacks?

 

 

 

i have been using royal purple EO since the day i buy my car till i sell my car.so far so good.i even went track with it...

Sorry bros, way over due for my FR :cheeky:

i have been using Elf on my Rex & i m very comfortable with it. cheap & good & i will say it gives me more confident then OWS :thumb:

through out from Svc to 7500~8000km:

- oil pressure very stable 4-6bar

- Temp maintain ~80C on normal drive & holds

 

for bros with turbo/high power car pls stay clear from carlube. in-between when Elf was out of stock, i rush to Gaint to get a bottle of Carlube & regret BIG time. I change it out ~800km! hope no major demage done to my car :sian:

mine is OPC.....using Mobil 5w-50....change EO every 8k....though can last 10k...but due to low usage.....better change early,scared oil saturated too long

 

coolant can change every 2 years....but see got colours or not.

 

wheel pulley and my only belt can also change 2 yearly,others thing no need always waste money....spoil then replace lor....

 

and dun forget if yours auto trans like my sienta....the red liquid vvvvvv impt....recommended every 40k....i change every 30k due to low usage

motul 300v 15w50.

 

2L for ~$55. Most car req abt 4.5L thereabt. Those with oil cooler should add another 1L or so.

 

So buy 3 bottles for $55x3=$165. Replace ~5-5.5L with abt another 1-0.5L left in the 3rd bottle for spare/track use.

 

Labour and filter will cost under $50. Usually ard $40-$45 thereabt.

 

So total dmg: $165+$50=$215 with 1/2 bottle of EO left in the bottle.

 

Change at abt 5000-6000km. (~4-5months). Not daily driven car. Abt 2-3times a wk on weekdays only.

 

Oil pressure. should not defer btn EO. If it is so, it is not the EO but probably some leakage somewhere or pump not working correctly. Eg. Leaking pipes somewhere, some seal in some part of the engine leak, oil sump leak or pump problem etc.

Throttle on btn 5-6.5bar (85deg C). Throttle off btn ~2-4bar (85deg C).

 

Oil temp 85 deg C for street driving with oil cooler. boosting on street max of 90 deg C. Takes approx 5-10min of driving to get the oil to 85deg C

Track wise...115-120 deg C after end of 2nd hot lap sepang.

also toyota long life coolant $25

and Denso and NGK iridium plug for sale $58 per set(ik16,ik20,ik22 etc)
