Hey Kmax, did the seat in Hatyai last weekend.

It took 1 day for the shop there to do it & cost around $40 (800baht).

I'm quite please with the workmanship.

 

I asked a seat shop along jalan besar area to do the same seat design & he quoted $200 & 1 week to get it ready!

 

Anyway, really loved the feel of the TDM while going up NorthSouth highway.

But was dissapointed when I learned that my bike starts to "head-shake" at

180km/h. Read on this forum that some managed to go 222km/h!

Could be the config of my bike.

ie. high windshield, knobby tires, side-panniers etc.

guess we are both using Sirac as front, so head shake is normal at 180+.

i ever managed to go up 190 but handling feels like out of control..

 

and sirac's speed rating is only 170kmh (110/80-18 58R) so... cant complain..

those 220, 230 guys are using road tyres. guess your FJR boxes shouldnt be problem as Thom@s was doing decent speed with them before.

 

 

oh wait.. there's ans-maniac... i mean.. ansmania with coffin cases doing 220 as well.. he is using Scorpion (110/80 - 18 M/C 58T).. with 190kmh rating..

 

I think he have asked for motoworld to bring in with next shipment for us so if you want to try.. better get it order first..

even though top speed sucks... my sirac has eaten 25000km during 1 and half year... threads are still good as new..

good morning guys . . . .

 

i'm using batilax BT21s on my tdm . . . and i can hit 231 km/h max . i only have a 42litres top box and yoshi end cans . guess if u wanna go faster , have to change tires 1st. As for Ansmania . . . his a maniac cum insane . . . dats why he can hit 221 km/h with the two coffins and the tires he's using ! ! (No offence Mr Ans . . . hahaha )

Current hight is pretty ok for asia..... only Ang Mo will look too tall for stock TDM

except our dear buddy.... a Ang Mo butt not too tall leh.....
