my next project is on handling, definately the breaks. but can't decide on wat to do next for the performance part, so wish to hear from u guys.

 

My drive is a MY07 WRX 2.0(A) JDM

Did basic mob:

 

- fuel pump (255L)

- fuel regulator

- Profec boost controller

- K & N filter (drop-in)

- De cat (1 out of 2)

Dyno reading (flywheel) - 308hp (~5600~6500rpm) 406nm (~3500~4650rpm)

 

should i go for:

- bigger turbo? eg. VF29? VF35/39?

- fuel injector? how much more can i push the stock?

- should i de cat the remaining cat?

- oil cooler?

- bigger intercooler or front mount?

- will adding an alarm affect anything?

 

am hoping for a fat bonus come Dec :pray: so am looking ard wanting for another rd of adrinaline rush :cheeky:

go PM MinistryofAlex he should be able to give u some advice on tht...

 

adding a alarm will not cause anything unless u are using some super duper "high tech" alarm tht will drain out ur battery power tht cause it to flat overnite. :) alternative join the subaruclubsg.com/forum or the rexfactor.org/forum etc and post ur prob or read up more fr there as for brake if u got no $$ factor well a 6pot 4pot Brembo or Ap Racing etc.. all looks gd too haha..(joking)

sotck is Subaru's 4 pot 2. more then capable of stoping a sotck WRX. but it is now barely enough to stop my vech in time with the newly found power :(

 

m looking at AP racing's 6 pot 4 in time to come when $ no prob. as for now due $ no enough :cry: so m aiming for cheaper 4 pot 2 brembo, with bigger rotor & pots.

 

check out the suburuclubsg, nothing much.

308 more than enuff on top mount... maybe a hyperflow will make it more decent than stock.. dun bother vf29/35 etc, go for evoIII16g, vf22 for stock internals.

 

Fuel pump + regulator + 650cc injectors?

 

Seriously depend how aggressive u gonna go for it, easily cost u 20-30k for performance mods.. average handling setup 10k, swap sti 6 speed manual 3k-5k, bodykit 3k-5k.. brakes upgrade 4k and above.

 

Smelly Smelly start from 20k for modding..

 

boost controller, meters, cai is the basic for rex.. can consider putting those on.

 

But if i had a choice back then, i will install the trust pe-tir in first place before i went for others.

waa I go Foo Bros u also noe.. jia liat liao.. u spyin on me sia..... haha.. :cheeky: no lah go there change Hawk HPS Pad.. and spray some grease on my stupid clutch loh.. tht keep producing some Eeee sound when depress.. no $$ now.. when i strike 4D or toto 1st ba..

Hmm you want power but I see that you're on Auto.. and also Manual gearbox will be able to withstand what yours can't :nono:

 

m not looking for "Hell" lot of power lah, maybe ~400bhp i very happy liao 'cos no $ to throw :sian:

 

i met this guy & had a joy ride in his ATrex with almost stock gearbox running over 500bhp & heard he is going for more :cool:

i've been driving this 2L beauty for 3yr+ liao & still happy with its look, think will skip the bodykit stuff.

 

upgrade of breaks is a Die Die MUST do. as for the boost controller, delfi, fuel pump, fuel regulator, cat ect all done already.

 

i looking at just 1 more (hopefully it is the last) small step forward, just 1 last mob for adrenaline rush... :cheeky:

Can consider these instead

Performance

vf22 hybrid.... 400+ on crank 1.6 ~ 1.8 bars

 

methanol inj - on paper +30, but feedback is much better on per 0.5bar opening.

 

Ecutek - no need to explain much since u driving for 3 yrs+ on a rex.

 

Cornering adreline thrills

ALK upgrade + rear lateral arms + carbing 8 pts replacement + corner weighting.

 

 

well for the 500+ on stock internals is quite subjective i should say.. the mindset on stock, u r always waiting for it to piang, then u chg. So i should say is up to user preference?

i tot no more liao? btw all high hp monster all rebuild before.. they wun survive on stock.. the block is weak is needless to say. Dun upgrade then chg to watever big turbo also useless, cannot push out the potiential of the turbo... u the see rf ang moh, also rebuild one wat! if not where can push out those zonda figures on his ride :lol:

how u find the pads? i tried it before, not really my type.. btw u know how much he charge for fender brace?

think i will likely just settle for a bigger TMIC. with that i will prob ask my tuner to up the boost to ... 1.8bar maybe :p then hopefully can hit 350bhp & >420nm :cheer:

hopefully 350bhp is enough an antidote against all these "poison"

is a open secret :lol: needless to say, both meth and nos need to refill depending on your tank size and pressure u set it to trigger. But NOS cfm fail inspection, u wanna do more research then u know i wat mean liao.

 

But seriously dun relate the FNF movie "NOS scenario" to your consideration.. that one is abit too muchhhhz

:cheeky: bro modification is a art and a hobby.. rex is machiam like a tamiya, u can strip down to bare bones, place it back with better stuffs each time as long the pocket can manage.

hyperflow tmic? well got a question, how does it increase to 350? now u have 308, after upgrading a thicker one become 350? cannot be bah?

 

but overall the hyperflow is quite a decent investment for a supporting mod for further... so far i even find it better than a spec c or sti IC imho..
