Wow... Nice one... Should be cheap... If Kawa already have Ninja 250, Honda will make a 250 sportsbike and Yamaha too.

Hope it's a screamer like the old 250rr. Redline at 18k, rpm clear at 20k.

If oil/air cooled I dont think the engine have such high spec.....Redline maybe 13000rpm bah.....

VTR250 was already here for more than 10 years, just that the numbers are very low.

Anyway, VTR250 is only 5 speed and the top speed is only around 150km/h, so unlikely to be used for this sports bike.

doubt its in-line four, Yes for its predecessor

wonder how they want to market this vehicle in term of pricing.

bike is a machine without soul, rider would inject new life and character to this machine

me too... it already stated using V-twin, unless honda decided using Hornet 250 engine :cheeky:

Don't think so, cause the previous CBR250 pass down the engine to Hornet 250 and now BACK to CBR250?

I think they might consider CBX250 aka Twister engine, just tune up will do and its much more cost effective. Else CBR250 would be way too expensive for consumer (*lets say they build a fresh engine from scratch), if pricing is a factor they might exclude USD fork, PGM-Fi, HMAS and stuff...

The new CBR250R uses a single-cylinder engine with fuel injection, double-overhead cams and a counterbalancer. Sure that’s tech talk, but the architecture offers some very real advantages. Maybe the most important is power delivery: a single offers the kind of torque and midrange power that’s well suited for all levels of riders.
