:?Greetings,
I'm a new rider, still alot to learn. So bear with me. Recently I went to a workshop in sg to do my normal monthly servicing ( end oil, spark plug etc.) I decided to service ( clean) my carburetor as well. That's when the staff told me that my carburetor is in really bad shape. And I need to replace it with a new one. It looks burnt so I believed him. I never changed it before so I figured why not. I heard riders saying that if u want more power you can use SP carburetor as an alternative. This i know is a legit info. But the staff wanted to change it to a Honda Phantom carburetor instead. Now this I'm not so sure. He further told me that I should change the cdi as well and that I don't need to use the air filter anymore after changing the carburetor. I'm not so sure about this. Although having abit more power quite tempting I don't want to have to change my block and all. Coz I'm just using it for transportation after all. Fuel consumption is impt to me. If I use the stock carburetor and just add a racing cdi is it a better alternative? Please help a rider out.
Thank you all in advance.
