nice pics :thumb: too bad FN5S left early :smile:

non-stock items seen last night...

* head light on-off switch

* HID high beam

* hazard light switch

* digital voltmeter

* undercarriage led lights

* front & rear after-market shocks

* weather protection "jacket" for rear shocks

* power abuser

* grounding points

* after-market rear view mirrors

* pillion back rest (feedback is that piaggio's more comfortable than givi's)

* front dashboard utility hook

* removable IU in left lockable compartment (powered via cigarette socket)

* heavy balancers

* BMW handle/throttle grips

* radiator protector (DIY unit)

* electric dua-tone horns (stebel lower pitch, hella higher pitch)

* stock/after-market horn cut-over switch

suggested "improvements"... luggage hold-down straps inside top box, rattling noise inside while on the move is very irritating

did i miss anything? :smile:

Thanks Guys !! Very interesting to meet up with you all and it goes to show that Bikers are really Nice guys and once the ice has melted all the good technical stuff will flow freely and be shared.

Despite my age and long years of riding i did learn a few new things last nite and will profit from it. Stay in touch and whenever i can i will refer to the thread when i m out of town.

I m not so compusavvy so it would take a few days before i can post the pics taken by my trusty MINOLTA/KONICA.

Apart from what scoobydoo mentions that we saw also discussed were whether to use mineral or Synthetic oils during break in, frequency of change and additions for comfort. As for the oils I personally have been using full Syns from first change at 800KMs (with filter) and the same at 12000 Kms intervals thereafter - No problems or excessive wear noted. Only additions were magnetic inserts at the drain plug and the point where the oil filter screws into the crankcase. Rationale being that the SW Engine oil does not run thru gearbox or clutch and would be almost impossible to contaminate unless by 'blow by' fuel mixture through worn piston rings or sabotage thru the oil filler.

Comfort wise the 'balance' inserts at the ends of the handle bars may be a solution to high speed vibration (140 kmph) that leaves your arms tingling for hours.

I intend to try some RIZOMA mirrors when i next go to a bike accessory shop in PJ, KL as they are quite willing to bolt on and let u try over there. Will post in the thread once done.

Last i need help !!! How to attach the FOTOS ??

seems like very one had fun!!!!

As for horns.. personally i find its safety than jus "blink blink"

many instances where crashes were avoided and teh facial expression of the driver where they think another car or truck is coming instead jus a bike....

Many a times they tend to ignore or "not see you" when coming out of filter lane or junctions. It helps US as riders to jus HORN a bit...

But with the stock horn. It really doesnt "create any awareness" so Aftermarket horns are the thing to go. Even stock horns for most of the jap car pp also change immediately after rolling out their wheels.
