I doubt the agent here would bring in the 07' Nexus. Well, this IS a powerful Maxi-Scoot but it has got rivals like the T-Max.

The Nexus is a stylish bike w/o much compartments.

There is NO nexus 250 here.

Piaggio have yet to decide on whether to bring in Nexus 250 here.

judging by the popularity of 250s here...high chance they will drop the idea.

Nexus 07 will not come in so soon, at least after the 05 Nexus stock is depleted.

but i have done some reading up to the both version

Basically the engines are similar (correct me if I am wrong)

the mirrors are changed to a simpler one and the front air-intake panel has been

updated.

Here is the picture of the 07 Nexus

There is not really an 05 or 06...

now as it is, its only an old model and a facelifted new Nexus.

The old Nexus estimated cost is around $12,000 plus.

Underseat for Nexus is quite limited to be enuff for installing sound system.

normally sporty scooters have leser in compartments compared to maxi comfort scooters.

In May last year, I went to Piaggio to enquire of the 07 Nexus .. they didn't know such a model was planned for a European released! I had a most unpleasant time speaking to them about their existing stock and their plans for the replacement model (07).. I wouldn't have minded if it was some salesperson who couldn't tell the difference between a scooter from a motorcycle.. but coming from a person who have a regular column in their own in-house magazine was just unacceptable! The attitude was bad! Not to mention Piaggio announce the new models in ST's motoring section .. how bizzare ..:(

Anyhow, the 07 Nexus, has revised ergonomics, suspension setup, and aesthetics changes. Have a look at http://www.okapi38.com/ .. read the translated french version .. its interesting trying to understand the french context and language :) enjoy ..

An entirely new breed of scooter.

By crossing the sporty characteristics of the Gilera Brand with the performance provided by the MASTER 500cc electronic injection engine, the Gilera Nexus is the first Sport Gran-Turismo scooter.

Combining motorcycle technology and maintaining the advantages of a scooter the Nexus displays several mechanical solutions, usually only seen on a motorcycle, that provide racing performance and extraordinary manoeuvrability while keeping the vehicle safe and stable at high speeds.

The innovative "Power Drive" rear shock absorber system is fully adjustable to suit different riding style and road conditions. Moreover, the engine is rigidly mounted to the frame through the "Direct Link" ensuring excellent handling and with the linked braking system,
