slight rain in the morning but the journey was good. cooollling!!! no hot sun. i felt the traffic was gd too. little cars on road.... travel abt avg 130. stop for gas up and drink and snack every 200km... relaxing.

once at hua hin. felt the place like phuket.. many foreigners and tourist shops. we checked in hotel with chopper bikes. they are australians who travel from phuket to hua hin. the room is one of the biggest i have seen. 2 single bed and 1 queen all in one room. 2 balcony to oversee the town nitelife and dry our stuffs.

seafood at the pasar malam street. delicious... fish, prawn, veg, soup, fried.. delicious.

it was tiring for me.. i knocked out at bed til morning. and the 2 jokers went down to wash their bikes til 2am! crazy. i just left the insect juice on the bike. hoping to collect more for the rest of the remaining days.

places we visited on day 3

tiger temple

we went to tiger temple. took photos with the sleeping tiger. poor animal. chained up. not sure if they are drugged as they kept sleeping. not active and it was a cool day.

train railway

we were happily taking photos on the track on the cliff when the real train came choo choo in. thought it was not active... we quickly move to the cliff edge. the excitment made us wanting to take more photos. forgettng that we may just fall off the cliff... crap!

river kwai event

it was a display of sound and light. showing how the war at the river.. and the oldest steam train... the train was well restored, the paintwork, the detail, the steam coming from the top.. the choo choo sound from the train... really bring us back in the past.. like kids.

Damn, remind me of my trip 2 years ago, was it the same hotel we stayed in HuaHin?

Why didn't we visit the railway at the cliff the last time? The same train we saw the last time, and the bird on the road side, I remembered we were there but its raining and dark.

u guys ride safe and avoid big crowd, bangkok looks chaos to me, police also got bullied.

Hope to see u guys on Saturday in Hatyai.

Hi all, the weekend has been really good. To me, the National Bikers Weekend was a pretty good show for a bunch of guys doing it for the first time.

The dunking of steven lim was probably the highlight of the show in its wickedness. Amongst the few booths, Triumph was on display, Hong Leong gave me a first look at the truly truly awesome V-max, Bike production had a booth too and the VFR 800 at their booth was very tempting, Team shinez were washing so many bikes that they probably will take a couple of days off this week to rest ( oh yah, they had bikini babes washing too), and Harley Davidson and KTM (Dirt Wheel) had an awesome display of bikes on show.

Not to mention, Nice bikes shows for all for free.

The smaller players were some nanoball technology thinghy which i paid for, for a package deal for my car, Then there was beyond beauty which gave me a voucher for a free facial valid for a month, its totally free. There was also Derbi and Daelims on display.

What was to die for were actually the gals on display. The show babes in their tight micro mini skimpies were really too hot to handle.

Hong Leong Corporation (yamaha agent) was probably the winner of the day will ALL the hotties coming from their booth. Really quite something lah.

All in all, it was really good for me. The convoy in the morning saw a total of almost 900 bikes, and the ride into the flyer was awesome. There were however too many marshalls and i ended riding in a convoy of all marshalls. hahahhah. But for $20 bucks, i got a t shirt, a nice cap, a marshaller's vest, free facial, keychain and tonnes of vouchers and above all, a good time and a hearty italian lunch with Niall and KC. Lifes good.

Only downside really. The weather. Bloooooooody HOT. Yesterday was really bad, But i went again just now in the evening, on Sunday and it was a lot better.

For those who din go, please make it a point to go next year man. It is really worth it.

Cheers

Zac

There is no pain greater than not being able to ride a motorcycle....

There is no joy more worth mention when riding one,,,,,,,

tonyvaras>> u got it bro. Its the 100 plus. :cheeky:

curly>. actually wanted to send for dynojetting, then Ah Siong recommended to do compression check first. Thats where all hell break loose. Discovered that front cyclinder low compression and leaking, back cyclinder low compression.

So do a top over. Then once all out, might as well ... so once and for all, what needs to be changed - Change. So the usual suspects after a 100,000km mileage like tensioner chain, all gaskets, clutch plates, all hoses linking to radiator, chains , spockets. Then due to aging, the K&N filter element fell out of the holding plate. So CHANGE again This is still the tip of the ice berg.

Then the worst nightmare comes when the mechanic do the dyno tune... found that the carb needles and nozzle worn but usable. And no stock for dynojet kit for our bike for the moment  So he had to make do with the present situation. Top end he said not satisfactory. Keep losing good horses..

So he keep tunning , he said he already open up my carb for 20+ times to change the settings.

Supposely can collect back bike on sat for the marshalling.. but due to the carb prob, still can't get back my bike. Haiz. Guess its going to be a major damage to my wallet too

But I guess the end results should be rewarding. My fatty should be as good as a new ride :cheer:

3 amigos>> Great trip!! Nice place!! This is what i like for a trip . No agendas, no rushing. Just enjoy the ride and being there, relaxing. :thumb:

Zac>> I was there yesterday to collect my goodie bag. Quite sad to see whats inside.. just a tee shirt and thats all , no cap.. damn , felt shortchanged. Mah motor also got a lot of eye candies.. but cant check out much as I am with my Gf. hahaha... Yah steven lim's dunking show should be the highlight of the day. He is so sick and disgusting. My girl just refuse to look at him cos she find him disgusting.

Tried on my all time frav Harley- night train .. sweet ride. The posture is so agressive in my view, however my girl said I look like a monkey on a bike with that posture.. lol

Overall the carnival I felt its trying hard to be happening but kudos for the effort. Hope next yr will be better.

Hi Nicholai, yes there was just two of us that day, two Brothers bikes in workshop for major work, three on the way to Cambodia rest have to work. Wicked & compact are not words I would have used but thank you for the compliments about the Varas.:thumb:

Sorry we didn't get a chance to chat, nice to see so many Busa's, no idea there were so many in Singapore.

Maybe we can catch up sometime over a coffee.

Vara is gone but back strain lingers on o_O
