wasnt paid **** bro. In fact, i paid to be there. But i take it light-heartedly and in good fun.

I know, who doesnt want biker babes and bikini babes competitions, WOmen mud wrestling and rodeo competitions? Fast bike shows and stuntriders doing what they do best. Or maybe all major bike players giving free test rides and candy stalls. Maybe even bike t-shirt stalls and very very very cheap armored jackets. Who doesnt want all that bro? But after all, its a business, somebody will have to make money from all this. Some ppl just like youand me had to take THEIR VERY PRECIOUS TIME to get all this together. Mind you bro, they also have jobs outside the motorcycling world just like us. and they organised this and at this scale.

Thats what i am appreciating. A bunch of clowns who had no idea what this all is and they went for it, despite all the challenges. I am envious of them, they were good for a first time dun you think?

Give the guys a lil credit dude. Dun just hantam all the way. Nothing is perfect, we all know that.

Having said that, A marathon, as long and painful as it may be, always starts from that first step.

I just know that the following years will be better and better and better. Maybe we will have to pay more, but we call ourselves bikers and spit at the local scene when we dun even allow ourselves to appreciate it.

I know many of you are not too pleased with the whole set up and think they could have done alot better. I agree too, but with a light heart, i enjoyed the show for what it was, not what i wanted it to be becos given anyone of us this task, we wouldnt even have had done it half as well.

If you saw kushinagar sweating and all red becos of the stress and heat bro, and yet smiled at you when you asked a question, maybe you will be appreciative too.

its the hype that led to it.... it was NBW bro singapore's first

National Bike Week... what did I get to see... Bikes already in the showroom out in the sun.... I guess they couldnt secure Expo cause of the IT show

but seriously no one is taking the effort away from these guys

As a matter of fact u threw up some pretty good ideas ureself

Did the organisers get govt support? No

Did the organiser get all manufacturers and not just PI involved? NO or nmaybe they just didnttry had enough ($$$$$????)

Were there at least specials worth buying offered during NBW? No

Yeah its true these guys are doing this for passion and have their own jobs to deal with...but why embark on something u probably cant deliver with so much hype

In a nutshell it looked like a big bike sale (waita min there were NO discounts on bikes).... (There are better deals here on the MO threads)

The NBW did suck... and thats the bottom line

a spade by any other name is still a spade

btw ur points are jest and true from one point of view. agree with you fully and no objections. but like wat Zac's comment, things don't blossom perfectly first time around.. Reminds me of Comex when it started.. Poor management but after some time(years infact), it draws the crowds...

Us riders would cherish future events to succeed better as years go by.. Maybe due to the economic downturn or maybe lack of indepth planning and management., it did not turn out as expectations.. just reasons i can think of rite now. whether im rite or wrong i suppose dun matter.. hopefully, after some After-Action Review, the organisers will hear us and deliver better next year!!!

Well Day 7 _ Break away fr the Grp...now all alone and feeling v lonely...1030hrs...Set Off from Ayuttuya after the 2 Heroes left..Total millage to cover 618km...Manage to do 3stops and saw a grp of Beemers fr BKK and talked..Hmm they were surprise I'm all alone..but i wish all the Gang were wit Me...Geng Jahat...... Half way thru I manage to capture lotsa PIC...

On the Way I saw a Group of Children crossing te road and thought that even not being well to do they were happy to go to School...then i thought of a way for VARA to do something for e world...Y not we Donate Stationeris to the Children of Cambodia...My GF is doing the contacting..WILL Update U guys on This....

I reached Chiang Mai Town at 5.30pm however My Bike Clutch decide to snap[ and giv way...HAHA Did not even bring the Spare as It was place in another Box at home....Damn...manage to Look for a bike chop to do quick repair on it..And walla..my machine is up and running... Yeah...Now in the Smile Guest Hse( eventually was told 350 but gone up to 400 BHT....resting before continue Journey Up MHS... Cheers...

media - always putting blame on us bikers...anyway RIP to rider...

selling used racetec k2 tyres 120/70 and 180/55 for 80bucks. pm me if interested. Used in track only so lots of rubber left on the center. Good for road use.

Bro not true!!! TSP offered me 7K trade in.... for a K7 burgman which is selling 8.5k. too bad my bike shop and his are nt in good terms, resulting $800 for early settlement. would have traded with them if not for the 800 extra.

For the tank bra, I would recommend you MotoWorld,, located at Ubi Ave 1.. Most of us use bagster brand.. Cost ard $140.. for those matt finish type... for shiny ones like Atwin using, cost bet $160-$180 last I check...

Maybe can go to their website to enquire or forum thread under advertisers list for faster reponse.

btw, our fatgerls do have value for the overseas market. esp Malaysia...someone's fatgerl got stolen there in the past.. despite its size and weight, the thugs manage to make a clean getaway!!

Hi Stan, Sorry, I think you missunderstand, I meant the seller "push into shop" to get rid of bike, not trade in.

The seller told me about the 3.5K offer, I don't think he would deflate the figure. The export thing is a quote direct from Mr Loois, I was talking to him as he opened his shop yesterday morning.

My experience confirms the above, in 05 when I could not sell my HayabusaX to private buyer so I drag bike to shops all over to get sell it and in the end only one shop offer 8K and just 2 week ago I run into current owner whom just paid near 10 if i recall correctly and its now over 3 years latter!

I was lucky to get this deal, if not for him i would have bought ST11 instead. the fellow wanted to sell quickly due to buying 4 wheeler and I had cash so I think he was pleased with deal, I gave him what he asked.

Well the Day gt off to a slow and steady...I move off late in the noon and manage to do Some Loops....and Ended the day in Pai.... Half way thru MHS...Hmmm... The cornering is superb and Deadly marvellous....just like doing a non-stop GP racing in the track... I tell u at one time I was like 1400m above sea level...Oh Yeah... and the slope is like 60degree and 180degree turn at the same time... Yippee.... My my what an experience.... ...Went round the Town for the Night Mkt and Bzaar like ...then nice quiet Drink session alone and net cafe.. Got myself a 150BHT Room...backpacker style...as u know wen u r alone the budget mus go lower...hahaha..... Tat's all Folks... Pic later cos I'm too lazy....
