anyway the model number could be found in Leo vince webby. The carbon looks ... SWEET ...

the pixs u posted, those are race cans is it? there is no silencer ...

for road cans, if you like , the silencer could be removed ... see the little bolt in the technical drawing of legal cans , remove that and its time to rumbble....

hey u forgot to add this picture

On the website is specifies the racing cans as 103db at 5000rpm - what is the limit when they test at vicom? I guess will not be able to get a cert for it etc, but do you guys know of a lot of ppl who got stopped/fined? Also, will the bike pull much more gas with these cans due to the size or is it just noticable in the power?

Not sure if should take the risk... :lovestruck:

baga>> with slip ons...u feel ur pick up is much much better n power in yr hands....

Will it pull in more gas...??? not for my arrows....advised by ELWS workshop n mech Rosly not to change yr jetting...so in fact i got a better milleage wif my bike....:thumb:

if u wana max power then add a dyno jet set onto yr bike....but i doubt so.....

cause frankly speaking...i belief everyone(including myself) wanted to hav a mod/high performance cans because 1) 70% sound (wat a Vtwin can produce)

2) 25% power

3) 5 % looks

ELWS>> WHAT THE f!!!

Whats the reason for the reject?? Could you eleaborate more?

this is from the website , one motoring

Exhaust system

(e.g. exhaust manifolds, catalytic converters, mufflers, etc.)

The exhaust system, which consists of the exhaust manifold, catalytic converter and muffler, is used as part of a vehicle's exhaust emission control system to ensure that the exhaust emission meets our environmental requirements. Any modification to the exhaust system would therefore require LTA's approval. The following should be submitted to LTA for evaluation:

a) Certification from the product manufacturer stating that the proposed aftermarket exhaust system is suitable for the make and model of the vehicle.

b) Certifications or test reports from independent test laboratories such as TUV, DEKRA, JVIA, VCA etc. to show that the aftermarket exhaust system when fitted to the vehicle on a per make and model basis complied with prevailing exhaust emission standards.

Note: Removing catalytic converters and mufflers are not allowed as it will adversely affect the exhaust emission characteristics of the vehicle.

We would have the docuements for (a) and (b) to show LTA. To be on the safe side , I will email the shop again to dbl comfirm .

Btw who got fax machine , so I could get the shop to fax it over . Show LTA what we got then if paper work is ok , I think physical inspection shd have no prob... hopefully.

Yeah I kena b4 on my aprillia arrows lor. Inspection done at independent centre passed but strict no no from LTA. Vthumper did his at independent centre. Decrease in fuel comsuption 4 me last time coz open less to reach desired speed at lower RPM mah. It may be due to decrease in weight from original exhaust also.

The link u provide me is ard in the packaging which comes with the exhaust and this is not enough for LTA. They still need a test report which he show it to me on the spot which is not provided and cannot me found over the net. ONLY THE MANUFACTURER IS ABLE TO GIVE IT TO ME WHICH I HAVE BEEN DEMANDING FOR IT AND THEY REFUSE TO GIVE.

Elws>> What the hell, why they don't want to release it to you? any reasons?

Ok what is in the test reports?

U r right....they do tyres oso....

try tourance lah....its :thumb:

Guys, need some Varadero advice here. I was going for the Tourance as suggested here but realised that there is no size for my front -only the back can be fitted. Tourance front is 19 inch rim size. Sian. The standard tyre fitment on my Vara (125) is stated as:-

Front: 110/90-18 56

Rear: 130/80-17 65

1) So I continued my search for a set of front and back and found some closer fitment and would like to try road tyres instead of going back to Scorpions. Do you think road tyres like Pirelli Sport Demon is ok to be fitted on enduro bikes like ours? See link here:

http://www.pirellimoto.com/en_96/tires/tem...productid=16927

2) Under Option A: If I have found the fitment that matches the front tyre ie 110/90-18 56 but the Load Rating on the new tyre is actually rated higher (at 61) than the standard oiginal tyre (at 56)...are there any bad side effects?

3) Under Option B: It seems that I cant find one that 100% matches BOTH the above standard fitment AND Load Rating. Is it better to match the Load Rating and sacrifice the Aspect Rating....because the other option is to get new Front 110/80-18 and load rating 57 (closer to original of 56)?

4) Is the handling between a V speed rated and H speed rated tyre the same at Low Speed Range below 90km/h? Currently, both the original tyres are rated P speed.

5) Any other comments on fitting road tyres such as BT020 on enduro bikes improves handling or makes it worse?

Bros, sorry if the above is too lengthy but I find this technical part on tyres seldom discussed. Hope to learn something because.....I need to change tyres this week

Thanks bros.

no lah, will probably go for the road legal ones, as long as we can satisfy LTA on the paperwork...

i think they are more stingy cos there is no license fee for it - if they had income for it i think they would allow it for sure...

Varas >>

There's another problem I realise only last night when I visited biketech.

SHAH told me...

Inspection at Vicom:

Street Legal pipe in order to pass LTA approval MUST:

(1) Removable silencer insert to be welded to the main cannister.

(2) Must also have additional rivet to secure that db killer

(3) System must be sold & installed by Singapore register importer that imports this item.

For item 1 & 2 no problem. Manufactural in Italy don't do it. It's done locally in Singapore. Small problem for LeoVince. But item number 3 is important, I don't know if they close 1 eye regards to these..... If they enforce item 3, bad news for online self-import buyers...

Anyone know more about this pls post?

Smicerboy >>

You the only one with certified papers for exhaust... Can you acknowledge that you have seen the certification before? ITEM a) and b) tat were posted by varas earlier?
