It's sad that this kind of person is doing sales.. From your story, he doesn't even seem to be apologetic.. Instead his challenging you.. Sometimes us comsumer would rather have an honest answer instead of beating around the bushes.. He should have just admit his mistake/mistakes..

You should have just gone down to Mtechnik to place an order for Hepco & Becker Boxes and Pannier Rack.

They're the local distributor here in SGP, I wonder why you went to AOW instead... But nonetheless, it's a good sharing here with fellow riders on your dealings with this company.

Firstly i apologise if this is the wrong forum, but i wish to share for awareness

 

Bad Purchase experience with Adventure on Wheel @ bmwchoy

Mr Choy aka Chua

 

1. I had contacted Adventure on Wheels (AOW) via email on 24th February 2013, to purchase 2 Hepco Becker Xplorer Side Panniers and a Bmw K1300r Pannier Rack. I was then directed to contact a Mr Chua.

2. I finally had time to drop by his shop at IMM on 2nd March 2013 where i was told that i needed to order the items, with a 50% deposit. I agreed to proceed with the purchase after being told that it would take between 2-3 weeks for the item to arrive. Hence i was expecting the item to arrive by 3rd week of March.

3. Nearing the end of March, i had contacted “Mr Chua” and was told that my Xplorer boxes had arrived but the racks were still in shipment, hence i could not proceed to fix the racks to my bike yet.

4. I had continued waiting, till first week of April, where i was told that the items had arrived and i need to to make full payment before collection of the items.

5. On 4th April, i proceeded down AOW at IMM to settle the outstanding 50%. But when i arrived, i was told that he had only (a) Side Racks (b) Left Side Panniers. He informed me that he had sold of the Right Side Panniers to someone else, and i had to wait another week for the box to arrive.

6. After much discussion and trust, i gave him the benefit of the doubt and made full payment as well as collected the 2 items.

7. One week later, i contacted him for my Pannier, but was told that it was not here yet. I had to wait another 1-2 weeks.

8. One week later, i contacted him again, same response. I gave him till 26th April to deliver me the Pannier

9. Today 27th April, i messaged him via SMS and Facebook but no reply. I proceeded to call him from an unfamiliar number, he picked up and continued saying the Pannier had not arrived.

10. I explained to him that this is a Breach of Trust, and he as a SalePerson should keep to his promise. I notified him that i would be filing a Police Report and lodge a CASE complaint against him, as he had continually failed to deliver the item as promised.

11. His reply was “Go Ahead” “Do not threaten us”.

12. I have left him a message via SMS and Facebook, that i will give till 14th May to hopefully resolve this issue, and i do not wish to make enemies or start hating people.

13. Also just for everyone's info, “Mr Chua” is infact Mr Choy himself..

 

I am writing here to share with others, or hear from others if they have had similar experiences with AOW. Everyone may have different experiences with him, but i feel there is a need to share with others so that they do not fall into the same predicament as me.

Dealed with him before on helmets. The first time, deal very smoothly. But when my friend decide to buy from, he experienced the same situation as TS. Keeps saying that shipment has not arrived when he promised that it will arrive in 2-3 weeks time. Finally shipment arrived about 3 mths. And the best thing, he asked for full payment and if we want to cancel the order, only able to get back like 75% of the amount..

Wahh~~ damn the shop bro. If i were u, i tink i will get back my 75% back although the 25% is being burn like that. But i make sure he kena frm me after his working time. This kind of people must teach a lesson.

Rule No 2. If the biker is wrong. Refer to rule no 1.

just order overseas n pay by paypal.... ensure trusted shop...

been doing it for like ages....

no problem....

a bit of waiting time.... but no hassle....

just my opinion...

btw... usually... its much cheaper...

hehehehehe....

Made a report against us? Hahahaha.! mr choy, u challenged the buyer to report u to case. This can also be police case for lying to the buyer. U sell stuff make sure u keep ur promise and serve the one came first. Besides, there is a lot a lot of customers are unhappy by ur service. They cn become witnesses. And u will only refund 75% of the customers' money upon cancellation. What does that mean? Just want to say u are one big headed cheater and coward sales person. We hope to see ur business down immediately for ur poor service since 2005.

Is there a clause in e sales contract stating 75% to customer if order were to b cancelled ? Any part of e invoice stating e eta of items ordered ? Any signature penned by e so called Choy/Chua C.B for e above documents ?

I never ordered anything from Choy/Chua C.B shop.. Have ordered from other shops n ensure dat e promises r penned on e invoice together with full name n ic no. N will ask for his ic to verify... Of e sales person r uncomfortable but wud rather b safe then sorry... There's shop who refuses it so i chose to walk away n ordered online... Sometimes ordering online is bit ex bt worth it...
