ok guys, here's the bike update...

 

my bike is severely severely wrecked...the engine aspects i mean..ok, here goes, my repairs include..

1) piston

2) conrod*

3) block

4) valve

5) cam sap*

6) local arm

7) gasket

8) top up EO

9) spark plug

*means the word sounds the same as the ones i spelt cos either he cant pronounce properly or i cant hear properly...

 

look at the attached pic, my piston is totally totally KO....the pic on the left is my piston, the one on the right is what a piston suppose to look like!!

terrible right??...one of the mech say my EO almost empty..but i juz changed it juz a month ago and only rode for 1300km...he said bcos my piston like that thats y EO finish fast...

 

wtf sia.. ur piston like the side broke off.. omg! thats damn bad.. aiyo... i think maybe ur eo leaked ba.. if not it shouldnt be lessen right? since its contained in the engine.. shouldnt go lesser unless leaking ma.. wah.. dude.. thats sounds like a major overhaul man.. shag sia.. maybe u wanna find out the cost before repairing.. u might wan to reconsider if its too exp man.. dun let them repair first then later damn damn ex sia.. like that very shag one..

i heard it too....but i tink if a standard phantom bike not much problem, shld change every 2000km..maybe mine got problem but cant really feel or see it, its hidden inside..

 

actuallt i wanted to change EO b4 my trip, but didnt change cos still below the 1500km mark..

if i dont let them repair i got to ask them to assemble back and go to another shop...that one workmanship muz pay $, den go another shop they dismantle my engine still muz pay $, so not economically effective...v v tedious if i go another shop since i cant ride it..nvm, i asked haikal for his overhaul cost and the price is roughly there...anw, i managed to nego wif ah chong and reduce the price down substantially from the ori price he quoted me..

cao! so exp.. but at least ok la.. gerv last time do change block and piston and a few minor ones already 600++ this urs ok la taking into account the no. of changes in the machinery parts.

fiz when they change pls ensure it is ori phantom parts and that it is new... u wouldn't want a 2nd overhaul.. trust me...
