Just done the first 1000 km service. Beside engine oil, what else need to be changed? Any oil filter?

Was told the gear oil only need to be changed at 3000 km.

Actually there is oil filter and I would advise against not replacing it esp during first change as initial break in will produce more metal residue.

The AD3 has 2 covers covering the CVT area. The outer cover is the black color cover which is just below the air filter chamber, this black cover is covering the metal casing and this inner metal casing cover, covers the CVT mechanism which also forms part of the main engine frame and purpose is to stablise the rear axle wheel mechanism dynamic centrifugal force.

The air filter is the (dark orangey color) paper corrugated material which is expandable part. The circular sponge material filter is to allow air flow to cool the CVT.

Unlike the AD200 has only 1 polyurethane material cover, covering the CVT.

On the AD3, the drive belt has double sided tooth belt.

The AD3 CVT variator and clutch components seems to be larger in diameter or has a bigger circumference which could be the cause, to allow the scooter to achieve higher in speed as compared to AD200.

I have opened the CVT as well to find that my filter as in shown your last pic has alot of dust sand and debris.

Thanks for the comment. Your suggestion by lowering the mud flaps does seems to helps as however this lowered mud flaps shall rub against the road surface during maneuvering corners or turning.

If you refer to the photo which shown the slipper represent the rider and bare feet is the pillion that the splashing water does seem to be coming from the narrow part of the foot board to wet the pillion's feet. Probably the sealing of the said narrow area could be consider.

Sort of worry the aesthetics look of the Ad3 have to be compromised if many of the water reduction structures are in place.

Yes I agree on your last point that's why I choose to compromise by meeting halfway between form and function.

The AD200 has this Petrol Overflow problem if pump to the brim...does the ADtre has the same problem ?

So far I always pump to the brim no problem. I noticed there is a overflow tube at the top which is capped off at the other end.

AD200 fuel tank under the seat and connects to fuel inlet beside the trunk box by rubber hose. Fuel always spill out at the connections of rubber hose. Both of my previous AD150 & AD200 had the same issue. Just don't fill petrol to the brim.

AD300 does not has such problem. During refill, we have to open the seat and fill up directly to the tank.

In case you couldn't figure out the sarcasm, let me put it across to you bluntly. Firstly I agree with you that as bikers, we all should be humble and accepting to each other as we all face the same elements while on the road. No matter riding big bike or small bike get rear ended by a truck still will die the same fate.

What I couldn't agree with you is in fact the irony in your message. You advocated others to be humble but at the time were trying to to "show" that you are "big brother" as you have a "big bike", don't you find it to be ironic?

Being the big brother that you are, I hope you would be more magnanimous towards this particular fellow AD3 rider whom probably had a bad day or so. At the very least don't stoop to his level and try to win in a "showing-off" contest, you will end up being the very same kind of person you despise.

If it may appease you, I apologise on behalf of that particular fellow rider for the sake of our relatively small but friendly community.

Let it slide and move on, shall we?

Wondered how the Adiva AD3 might look with 4 wheels??

:cheeky:

Actually, if it has four wheels it's nearly impossible for the vehicle to pass legislations here as a motorcycle. Don't think now or in the near future our dear men in white will be keen on the idea of letting us get away with cheap transportation at the cost of money making opportunities.

(....Suddenly... Eureka!)

But, what we can do as existing owners is to come together and brainstorm a design a practical side cover that can protect us from the rain!

Given how some of us have shown ingenuity in devising our own solutions for the front mudflap and adequate skills to put them into application, I'm sure we would go farther if we pool our resources together!

Tell me what you guys think is this a good idea.

(I promise not to be so critical about any of your ideas be it good or bad:sian:, but surely I am hopeful to see this go somewhere as deep in my heart I'm still not quite satisfied with the wet weather protection of this bike.)

I've a idea to "tailor made" a cover and the design which is pretty similar to the cap or hat type. Can be taken off if you choose to fold and keep the roof in the trunk and put on again vice versa. This cover also adds "extra" protection to the AD3/AD200 roof folding joints should the rainwater seeps into.

The sides of the roof hat shall have a clear plastic material stitch to the black color canvas or plastic material roof piece. Black color was suggested as the roof is existing black in color. The clear plastic material was choosen is because the rider's and pillion's views are not block as they can see through due to the clear plastic material wrap around the sides of the AD3/AD200. The clear material side length must not too long and should be just enough or right for the rider and pillion to get off the bike without getting entangle. This cover can be hold in place by velco tapes or by clips button.

I've provide a photo to picture for some understanding.

      Hi People,

I just contacted Auto Moto about their 3 wheeled scooter with a roof, and was thinking of bringing one of their scooters to Singapore. The scooter (150cc) costs USD 3800 retail, and I estimate from all the costs of COE and all other fees (Freight, Insurance........and documentation....etc), the OTR (on the road costs) will be under SGD 10000. This is much cheaper than the Adiva (two wheeler with roof) and the the Peugot MP3 (Three wheeler without roof), and it can be like a car. Protection from the rain, sits 2, and lotsa boot space for groceries (better than normal scooter or motor bike).

      I did the sums.........
      Cost (USD 3800) and Freight (USD600) : SGD 5720
      ARF + Custom duties : SGD 1950
      COE (Jan 2012) : SGD 1650
Handling and other fees : SGD 650

      Total - SGD 9970.

In a time of SKY HIGH prices for cars, this scooter (sits 2) is an excellent substitute for a car and public transportation.

      Check their site out.

I am in process of ordering and importing one.

Anyone want to join me? - volume order got discount

If yes.........please indicate your interest by e-mailing me at [email protected]

Please feedback, there is no commitment.......just seeing if there is interest in this scooter.

      Thanks!!!

      Cheers
