Hi fellow riders,

 

I'm letting go my 3 months' old Hepco Becker top box and rack. This set up is ideal for local riding without the side panniers.

Condition 9/10. Bought at $570/- but willing to let go (at a loss) at $350/-.

I also have the saddlebag retaining brackets (new and unused still in packaging) to let go. Bought on line at USD$21/- but selling at SGP$15/-. Do sms me at 96638090. Self collect please. Thanks.

Guys,

Just got myself a GTR, having jumped ship from FJR and STX.

So far I feel it handles very well for a Sport Tourer, if only it is not so hot!

Anyway, I stay in Malaysia and I have heard in this forum about Motormatic near Bestmart but not sure of the exact address. I would love to change the Windshield to a higher one and am wondering does this Motormatic carries Windshield for GTR?

Lastly, any budget top-box that can fit and the estimated cost?

Anyway, hope to join u guys when you are up in Bestmart/Bukit Indah area and catch-up for kopi 1 of these days.

Hi beesee, like you I am new to a GTR. Just switch from the ZZR to this. Guess I really love the looks of the bike

and the best part of not having the need to lube the chain on touring rides. We'll see any chances of meetup.

Hmm.... OK... A tad too... bad... Was looking forward to it...

 

Well... I had my rubbers changed yesterday afternoon and boy was it great to run on them... My low speed "pIG" handling was gone... !!!

 

My connie currently wears the METZELER - Roadtec Z8 InteractTM. Gotten them for a great price of (8 x Blue Notes) + (3 x Red Notes)...

 

I was about to go for the PR3 when a buddy of my brought to my attention the Z8... After spending a night researching on this Tyre.. went ahead to have them installed...

 

They run a test under Motorrad TestCente in Germany and here are the results...

Hi, I ride the STX too... and I feel that the STX is not as hot as the GTR (mine's the 11 model)... Drop me (Via PM) your contact and I drop you a tinker should I ride in... How about that!

Hey Stoner, the Metzeler does not have 190/55 right? Prefer that higher profile for better leaning grip. That's why I am looking at the PR3.

Hi Mate,

 

I don't think so... as for tyres... I have since follow the original Tyre Specification (Rear; 190/50) because of “Insurance Liability”.

 

Covered appox 250km with the Z8 now (with my Commanding Officer on board) and I would say that the 190/50 does the job really well… especially so in the wet.

 

I’ll be leaving for Langkawi / HatYai next week and I’ll provide a simple review of this set’s of tyres when I’ll back…

Just checked the metzeler fitment guide there's no tires listed for the gtr1400. Wonder is this recommended?

Understand... I did go though the web same as you... I still went ahead with the Z8 as I trust Metzeler to start off with...

 

Will be heading up north... and let's see how this pair of tyres hold up...
