I think the color of the flame depends on which RPM the backfire occurs. Usually at higher rpms, the flame is blue.

If the bike is running lean it will not backfire as all the fuel will be burnt. Running slightly richer is better for the engine.

Getting such exhausts here are alittle tricky due to the very expensive penalty if caught. The traffic enforcement here is not very exhaust friendly, otherwise I'd have gotten a Brock Street megaphone immediately.

Ahh thought as much. Otherwise I'm sure people would have got this exhaust installed. Even I first was thinking of putting the Alien Head System, but then came across the Tsukigi Cannons. The cops here too are not too exhaust friendly so I take out my beast really late at night or very early morning, in any case it aint worth riding during normal traffic. The traffic here aint normal :)

I get major backfire while de-accelerating around 5k rpm. Some major popping happens after a hit 9 to 10k rpm & then de-accelerating. Will be removing the flies this week too. In any case the map i'm running is a flies out one.

Hi fellow Kawi riders,

I will be relocating back to Singapore from Phuket.. I'll be taking some time to cruise around Thailand before returning to Singapore on my ZZR1400.. Tentatively I'll be departing Phuket on 20th Feb and going up north, targeting Chiang Mai and stopping at whichever town/village that catch my attention..

I've not set the duration of my road trip, most likely a week to two weeks before riding back to Singapore..

Those that are interested to have a road trip in Thailand, do let me know.. We can ride together in this little adventure..

Cheers..

Sorry bros! The NRC challenge turned out to be more tiring than i expected. Totally drained.

I would not want to risk my life or my fellow riders life on the road
