For exhaust valves, it is often said to be better to be slightly on the looser side, 0.15 as compared to the usual 0.1.

You guys are lucky, don't have closer valves. Ducatis need their closer valves to be set to 0.00 to 0.02mm (0.008inch). Now just take a look at how thin that feeler guage is! :giddy:

Any good place to recommend to do a good valve clearance job for a scooter?

just a question...

when k&t does carb wash & tune...what tuning does he do?....coz my s4 has a problem where on initial acceleration from start, there is a lag before the power comes in....i've washed my carbs just a 2/3 mths back..also just clean my air filter 2wks ago...any ideas?

the basic tuning will juz include the adjustment of the air/fuel mixture.. more involved process will require the changing of the jets in the carbs...

This will also include the synchronisation of the 4 carbs.. if you feel that there's something different/not right, you can always go back and find clifford to get him to do some fine adjustments..

Once again, Clifford showed his dedication and quality of work. My blade was rebuilt and tuned very well. The handling is unbelievable (at least for a 12-year-old bike) and the power delivery is smooth at low revs and explosive at high revs.

Thumbs up for K&T! :thumb: :thumb:
