The first-ever festival dedicated to motorcycles will be held on Sunday, 6 October at The Grandstand. Motul Bike Festival 2013 will bring together the community with a range of engaging performances and activities.
The highlight of the day would be the stunt performance of Leah Petersen, the top female sportbike free-style rider in the world. Motul, a strong supporter of stunt riding in America, Europe and Asia, is organising the Leah Stunts Asia Tour 2013, and the Singapore leg will take place at Motul Bike Festival 2013. Leah is a familiar face in the global stunt riding community and has performed in nine countries across three continents in venues with over 10,000 spectators.
For those who are looking to put their riding skills to the test, there is the SMSA Moto Gymkhana. Precise control over throttle, clutch and brakes is necessary in order to skilfully manoeuvre through the pre-determined course in the shortest time. With the conclusion of the popular Kallang Carpark Rally, riders will finally have a competitive riding event in a safe and controlled environment.
Aftermarket cosmetic enhancements within the motorcycling community is fast gaining popularity – from custom airbrushed paintworks to carbon-clad panels, they have it all. To recognise and reward the efforts of such owners, SingaporeBikes.com will be organising a Best in Show competition for the “best-dressed†motorcycle at the event. Expect a drool-worthy display of motorcycles, all dolled up to impress the crowd and judges.
“This year’s launch of our new MCO range is part of our commitment to deliver the best motorcycling experience for Motul users. Apart from lubricants, our comprehensive product range also includes MC Care, a range of maintenance and care products for two-wheelers,†said Mr. Francois Lesage, Sales and Marketing Manager of Motul Singapore. “To mark the launch and further connect with the motorcycling community, we have decided to organise a fun-filled day of festivities dedicated to them.â€
Besides delivering performance through its lubricants for a more enjoyable ride, Motul is also an advocate of road safety for all road users. To complement this commitment, the festival is supported by Traffic Police, who will be promoting their Safer Road Matters action plan for road safety in Singapore.
Bikers can also look forward to many other activities that include an MC Care Station to pamper and clean their rides; meet, greet and photo opportunities with a mystery star; and a Sepang International Circuit ticketing booth to get your last-minute Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix passes.
Motul Bike Festival 2013 has been made possible with the kind support of our partners: Traffic Police, Asia Motorsport Development, Pit Talk Asia, Michelin, KTM, Monster Energy, VeganBurg, SMSA, SingaporeBikes.com, and Sepang International Circuit.
