  1. @jan, do you have adjust anything at all with the fuel management when you mounted your exhaust? Does it occasionally makes popping sound at all?
  2. Oh, and tried emailing Spook but haven't heard back from him yet .
  3. Imagine my frustration, I was told 4 weeks wait for the engine cover gasket from kymco australia to fix the oil leak, so I have to source one from south africa which only took a week to deliver, now all the transmission parts are Malossi (every single bits ), the air filter done and the exhaust also done, and 3 weeks later I still can't ride the scooter
  4. Lolz, yes, there are quite limited options unlike the 300i or 400i. I'm using a BMC air filter along with the exhaust, haven't tried removing the catalyst yet, will give that a try, thx. There a few tunning device that I've seen on the net but all of them are in italian, another one I've seen is the Magnum evo tech, but wanted to see if anyone ever use this or are there any other method. Thx for the heads up advrider .
  5. I'm hoping that someone could help, how to tune the xciting 500? Mine is the 2009 Ri. I just received the Mivv speed edge exhaust, on the factory manual there's no tunning required as the exhaust is suppose to be tune to the bike already, but looks like it's going to need one. During the test, the scooter backfires even on 2000rpm, indicating the fuel is running too rich. Brought it to my usual mechanic who does my CBR, and since this thing don't really have something like a power commander this left him scratching his head as any tunning we did still leaving the scooter not running optimal. Was wondering anyone knows any tunning device on the market that's compatible with the scooter? Any help would really appreciated.
  6. Oh, and sorry, what I meant with the headers is the part that mount to the engine, and also the way that the pipe curves to the exhaust can, are they pretty much similar or completely different within the xciting family? Can really compare in the shop as they are none available .
  7. You mean Spook, yeah, I'm actually very envious with his 500, man, wish I'm still is SE asia. And can't really upgrade as well as nothing else bigger from Kymco in AU, next is Tmax which is around $14000AU, Burgy 650 $16500 and the Aprilia 850 which is $18000 . Btw, here's the link if anyone interested, I did a lot of research and comparison for the price and I think they have the cheapest when postage is calculated into the total cost, http://www.emlineamoto.com/en/arrow/scooter/collettori.html?moto_casa_produttrice=319 And here's the mob that I get all my parts from (malossi multivar, fly clutch, race springs and belt and some givi stuff), their price is not the lowest but postage is a flat 24 pound, last order came in a huge box as it has the givi screen for the scoot and child seat booster . http://www.racing-planet.co.uk/index.php?shop_ID=1&sessID=09509a32d42e59147abe9ad1c0ebefed&olevel0=2&olevel1=20362&olevel2=20390&level0=2&level1=20362&level2=
  8. Yes the headers and the shape of the pipe. Saw a shop in Italy that sells Arrow racing headers but only for 250, 300 and 400, no love for the 500:(. To make things worse, in Australia, probably I'm the 5th guy who own the 500ri non Evo, and kymco AU decided they're not going to bring anything bigger than the downtown 300i. So getting parts and acessories is quite a struggle.
  9. Hi guys was wondering if anyone can shed a light in this, does the xciting family (250, 300, 400 and 500) all has the same manifold size and contour of the pipe or they all are completely different?
  10. Wow, you weren't kidding when u say expensive . Thx for the info J@n .
  11. Thx for that J@n, do you remember how much was the metal floor board and the levers? Thx, Leon.
  12. Lolz, just went to look at DMV, only thing available for xciting 500 is a pair of rubber grip .
  13. To J@n, where did you get the kymco acc from? Is it from this web, http://www.kymcorider.com/home/product.asp?cid=5&fid=430 ? How much does the levers and the floorboard cover cost? Cheers, Leon.
  14. Had a look at them already and don't like the look of the 2 tubular post sticking up like that , I got the top box sorted, more liking to find a rack for the side hard cases.
  15. Lolz, that is sad really, but at least aftermarket parts are cheap over there, all the parts that's on my cbr are either from the us or uk and what will be on the xciting are all from Italy. Sven with the shipping cost it's still much cheaper then buying here. But on the up side, there's high tolerance for after market exhaust. Our moto is "loud pipe save lives" . So any if you guys has aftermarket pipes that's not designed for the bike? Any comments? I can only drool when I saw spooks Facebook page .
  16. You guess correctly, I'm from the land down under here (Australia), and it's a bit sad where 2 wheelers are the minorities here .
  17. Oh and anyone know where can I get a rack for the scoot so I can put givi wing rack on it?
  18. Hi all, new to the forum, I've been a proud owner of a 09 xciting 500Ri, and coming from a cbr1000rr, gotta say I'm really impress with the scoot. Got a few part coming such as malossi, fly clutch, multivar kit and kevlar belt, BMC air filter, K&N oil filter and last but not least mivv speed edge carbon full exhaust, hopefully I won't be missing my cbr too much . I've been wondering, I was actually interested to put on like an akarapovic or a TRC on the scoot but having the hardest time to find someone that can make the link pipe for it, but also my mechanic advise not to do it as it may actually decrease the performance as the pipe is not tuned for the bike. But I've seen many of you crazy out there are using these pipes, do you feel any improvement at all? Thx heaps for any inputs guys .
