  1. went down to pump at shell again at bukit timah kiosk, attandant ask me to get off i said "ok, no problem you pump, i go pay" his face not very happy but he still pump while i went in and pay, will try again went tank is empty, Like that when ever they ask you to get off and pump then you ask them to pump. everybody happy except attandant, who got more work.
  2. I was not angry about their ruling, I was angry that they off the pump while i was already pumping. My argument is, to tell me politely after i finished pumping or advise me that there is a safety hazard or in the future do not sit on the bike, but NOT switching off the pump halfway thrue me pumping the tank, when i am paying them for the fuel. Or at least have a sign that indicates that they will off the fuel if we sit on the bike. ONLY Shell has this ruling, personaly i find their fuel better then the rest, but that has made them too confidant, the first post of this tread was more then one year ago still no gov ruling or BBQ disaster at the other petrol stations. If their customer service is so good, then i might as well ask the attandent to pump full for me and walk off, read mags and pay. I think i am going to do that, next time the ask.
  3. tday after 1 year went to top up at shell because my UOB card got extra 3% discount. Again they stop the pump halfway thrue topping up WAH ^%$#&%^(^. Never mind I "accidentaly" droped the pump on the floor, when to pay at cashier, went back top up the tank ( this time standing while bike is on side stand) then went to pay again ( company must pay CC company per transaction ) no monetary difference to me just inconvineiant for cashier and me. After that warm up engine and b4 i move off, I clear carbon, rev my black Bird to 7 rpm, wah lao i also suprise how much BLACK smoke come out, 2 months never clear. whole of pumping area very smoky . their rules say i cannot sit down and top up but never say i cannot Rev. I notice the smaller shell stations cannot be bothered about the stand up rule only the larger stations with 8 pumps.
  4. Attached is a PDF file informing you on the varous degrees of fines and points according to how much over the speed limit you were riding.
  5. been riding Black Bird for 2 yrs, pros good reliable bike, spare parts readily available, low maintenace, consumption acceptable for 1100cc, very powerful in the mid rage to top speed, 6 gears, looks nice, versatile and narrow enough to squeeze through cars in jams. good brakes. comfortable seating position. NOT A track bike so cannot compare to R1 and CBR900 Cons heavy- 230kg reversing is a ######, tends to over heat due to the fairing, with box quite long other then that cannot think of anything else particularly wrong. VFR never rode it, no comment.
  6. I got a brand new battery for $110
  7. no brand one. I think my consumption high because of box and my size, i 1.73m tall and 100kg.
  8. Looi's is at kampung ubi i do not know the exact address but i think the motordiam forum has the full address. Very popular with big bikers, their mech's everyday very busy one got three mechs, 2 are adverage but 1 is very good i forgot his name he always does the tuning. I always go there mainly because they accept credit card, if not i will go to the former motorsales mech ( Ducati Train) whose shop is next to De Xing, I also forgot his name ( I suck at chinese names ). I once saw the after market pipes the Bird had only ONE pipe, i asked the rider he said legal, more pickup, but about $800. U get 345 km per full tank including ur reserve or not.
  9. adverage about 110, but alot of short distance riding about 8km.
  10. PS : Looi's quoted me $300 for both tyres bridgestone, is this ex or the tyre really sucks. My BB getting old (2001 model) , consumption higher is now at 220km for full tank, some more just change air filter ($80)
  11. For tyre alignment ( pls correct if wrong ) just go for inspection at vicom, they got that machine that will sqeeze the tyre to check alignment. Mine was 5% off when i ride with one hand my handle start shaking like ricky Martin. CNN got caught riding at 103kmh at lim chu kang road ( the backup runway in front of Tengah airbase) , cenna 8pts and $170, for 103kmh waaah lao. Did not see the speed limit was 70 thought it was 90 for such a huge and straught rd, at 1am was actualy quite lucky i was initialy going at 160 intending to go 200 but something told me to slow down so i thought 100 should be ok.
  12. I just bought one at $98 made in Jap. need rectifier.
  13. April cannot wait soo long, my battery will die out then must goto shop and charge.
  14. Looi at kaki bukit have the new BB rect anot ???
  15. Just changed my batt for a made in Jap (suzuki) yuosa batt for $98, so ex. Now the mech say my rectifier give out less then 1 watt so also must change, anybody know how much or where any reccomendations, can use yamaha or suzuki rectifier ( honda rectifier sucks) .
