  1. Motocuclist are voiceless. That is why they like to punish use with limited COE causing the price to rocket sky-high. I say the main problem is those foreigner's bikes that is causing the jams. Else I can NEVER fanthom how the heck can more bikes on the road cause traffic jams. Unless of course the bike kena accident, directly causing trafiice jam lah. I am extremely sad that there is no logic in the bike COE quota...except to generate more money for the LTA. Imagine 2000 COE at $1 each, meaning monthly revenue is $2000. or 1200 COE at $800 each, monhtly revenue is $960000. Money talks...bullshit walks.
  2. I am enjoying my Sportcity for its brand and its rarity. But I must admit I do fancy the new Gilera scoot for its nicer design and looks. Both using the same engine, so performance is equal.
  3. Well Aprilia bike are more rare in Singapore. Parts are more expensive. So not many people buy. Yes Sportcity is really nice. Very modern and yet classic look to it. Like a vaspa, the leg can rest fully on the floor board.
  4. 3.7k with insurance and the $900++ COE?? Thats really is a DIE DIE MUST SIGN ON THE DOTTED LINE price. Grab it immediately.
  5. It depends on what purpose you want. Do you want to feel the thumping Bass? Or do you just want to listen to music? A headphone is best/cheapest if you just want some music. A bike sound system that I have seen in Singapore are mostly pathetic. They are loud, but they do not have the thumping Bass and High fidelity sound output. So in a way, its money wasted.
  6. Last time my waveS. At third gear max is 110km/hr. At fourth gear max is also 110lm/hr. Meaning to say the bike got no power to push higher. So I go change my rear sprocket to a LOWER(less teeth), and now I manage to go to top speed 130km/hr. Actually I also tune my carburetor at the same time.
  7. What did you change? or tell the mechanic to do? The pop sound is actually 'good'. Many racing bikes also got popping sound when they close trottle. Meaning to say your carb tuning is very the powerful for POWER, aka the carb is now tuned to increase the FUEL to air ratio>> more fuel!! The sluggishness you feel is due to the extra fuel that is going into your engine. You fuel consumption will 100% be higher from now onwards. There lies the basic law of carburetor....at small trottle....less fuel is better not more! However many mechanics always like to play punk with the bike owner, partly because many owner always complain bike NO POWER. So the mechanic just tune more fuel into your carb at low speed, hoping that you will feel the power.
  8. Ifs its the fuel tube leaking...the bike is still OK. But if its really the engine oil leaking.....whoa that you have to make a big hoo-haa at motorshop Immediately. A newly 'repaired' bike usually means just top up engine oil and screw back to drain nut. But I am worried that the engine piston may have being running without engine oil for a long time and the piston and cylinder sleeve would have scoured and damaged. I think you need a good negotiator to talk to the bike shop. God bless.
  9. Dear SDR, Any possibility to hitch a ride on your handlebar mirror purchase, so as to share the $$ on the courier charges?
  10. Approved by Minister? Hmmmm.....interesting facts!
