  1. My bike recently had a low speed collision with another bike. I T-Boned him. Our bike fell on the left side and mine drop on his bike. Only visible damage was a bent brake disc which was replaced. Left wheel fender also dented. A few weeks prior I also went to set my compression, damping and rebound. Recently I feel like the front end of my bike feels loose and light. Its super easy/almost effortless to turn the handlebar while moving. When coming to a stop, it takes slightly more effect to keep the steering wheel straight and not zigzag. When going past small humps or potholes, the front feels not stable like before. When cornering, any slight humps or bumps will make the bike slightly unstable. Usually when I do low speed turning (eg U-turn) of the steering wheel, I will turn it with at least some effort, push the handlebar etc. Now, I have to hold the steering in order for it not to over-turn or full lock instead. There is almost no resistance. Went to Unique Motorsports and Hong Leong, they test rode my bike and said it feels normal. Hong Leong also tightened my wheel steering bearing, but it still feels the same. Tire presure also checked and its fine. What else could be the issue?
  2. Thanks guys for understanding the purpose of this thread. I have planned my finances for a bike, just need a recommndation as to where I can do reloan. Managed to find a good reloan shop with good rate but went to purchase one from that shop instead. Thanks again guys!
  3. Just bought a bike thats matte black in colour and have not figured out the best solutions to use to clean and detail without destroying the paint. What do you guys use to clean, and detail your matt black bikes? Currently I'm using: - Chemical Guys Meticulous Matte Detailer Spray - WD40 I got some petrol stains that I've tried to get rid of but failed, using diluted dishwashing liquid and hot water. So I've read online that Glass Cleaner and WD40 might help. Tried Rain X glass cleaner to no avail. Finally used WD40 and managed to get rid of the stains. Is WD40 harmful to matte paint? Would love some inputs!
  4. 48 mth loan at 6% interest. The bike I'm buying is a Honda CB400X. 2nd Party insurance is around 588, Road Tax around $110 per year. Petrol is no problem as this bike is well known for its fuel efficiency Don't get the purpose of this thread wrong though. Its not about whether I should pay full cash or reloan. For me I have made a decision to NOT pay full cash for this particular bike. So that's why I'm asking for a recommendation for shops that do reloan.
  5. Hi guys Im interested to get a bike from an owner. Very young bike less than 5 years old. Can anyone recommend any shop that can do reloan that does not need crazy downpayments. I can only down $2500. Bike is selling for $15,000. Really appreciate any help given.
  6. Guys I need reviews about 2 year old shop called "GP Motoring" along MacPherson Rd. Anyone bought their bikes from there before?
  7. Need help deciding as first time buying bike. CB400X. Thinking of using for 2 years before upgrading. 1. 2015 Brand new (with box & ABS) $19300 4% interest. 2. 2013 Used (without box nor ABS) $14900 6% interest. 8 years COE. Both with comprehensive insurance $850. Admin fee and transfer fee. Which one should I get? Motorbike friends please help.
  8. You sure clutch play? I remember we are not allowed to play clutch. Only throttle and footbrake.
  9. This one not a problem for me. I just throttle more before the yellow line. Try change second gear before yellow line. Then let go the throttle. Then just play with the throttle to go thru the course.
  10. Thank you Palladium! I will use your advise for my revision tonight. Is it possible to lean to much until the crash bar touch the ground/kerb? Will tapping on rear brake while leaning cause the wheels to lock?
  11. Hi guys, I passed my 2B six years ago and havent rode at all since passing. Now I'm taking 2A at SSDC and have problem with these courses. Figure 8: I'm getting better at this after the previous revision, but all this while I tried to keep my body as upright as possible and not use the foot brake at all, as I thought that was the way to do it. Until an instructor pointed out that I have to lean with the bike as much as I can. So I tried leaning the bike and use foot brake most of the way, and it felt more stable, not sure if it's any faster though. So which is better? I'm also very afraid if I lean too much my feet will touch the ground, or the crash bar hit the kerb. Will it happen? Crank Course: This one is really bad. I find it hard to enter the course smoothly with first gear, it's either to fast, or too jerky. When on the first line after entry, when I close throttle to change to 2nd gear, the engine braking is so strong that I cannot concentrate on changing to second gear. I managed to do it properly once, but the engine was so close to stalling. I didn't use any foot brake. May I know what's the best technique to do the crank course - eg braking, leaning, gear changing. Slalom: I haven't manage to hit any cones before, but I think it was all luck and my technique is wrong. How do you guys do it? Should I throttle when coming out from each cone? Or maintain throttle all the way but make use of footbrake? All tips will be taken when I take my next revision. Thanks guys!
  12. Ya just now went no more red Super 4s alrdy. All new black CB400F. Maybe they still have the super fours for TP?
  13. So I went to SSDC again today after a couple of weeks and saw no more red super four revos, but brand new black CB400F. Anyone had a go with this bike. Any reviews? Whats the difference from doing your prac with the super four?
  14. Bro dont mind remove your posts so not to hijack the thread. Told admin to remove but no action. Anyway today took lesson 2 and failed. Totally cant do the figure 8. Bike number 6 doesnt have good throttle and signal indicator doesnt work.
  15. Passed my prac 1 repeat today. Instructor was awesome and cool. Name is Md Hazli. Booked for my prac 2 this coming friday. Prac 2 more slots than prac 1. Can book for next 3 days slot.
  16. Yup. Asked my instructor afterwards and he explained to me. Still need to practice more. Managed to get a slot tomorrow morning, 3 days after my first one. Initially booked 7 Dec, but cancelled and saw a new slot opened tomorrow. Weeee!
  17. You are right! The first 4 times I do the plank I dropped as soon as I mounted the plank. Then I remember to look far. I looked at the end of the plank and then the next 4 times I finished all the way. I got problem with the slalom though. I find that I can't change to gear 2 fast enough. Once I changed to gear 2 I'm already at the first cone, but scared to accelerate, and automatically press rear brake. That makes the engine vibrate and want to stall.
  18. My instructor for first lesson is Jayapaalan. Very good, not garang. Good he say good bad he say bad. Wont mark you.
  19. Just completed first lesson. Failed. But barely. Instructor saw me riding like **** and ask me "you repeat"? Then I say "no first time, havent ride in 6 years", and his tone change from annoyed to more lenient. Plank was good, bumpy coursw was my best course, slalom sometime can sometime cannot. For SSDC ard a week, but I managed to cancel mine and found 3 day earlier slot that someone cancelled. So maybe you can try after booking everyday cancel and check in case got earlier slot others cancelled.
  20. I'm waiting at the waiting area now for my first lesson. Excited! See how many things I can remember
  21. No slots for a week at SSDC but no 2A learner here?
  22. Anyone taking 2A at SSDC can fall in here. Since nearing 2016 in a few days I just put 2016. Just enrolled yesterday. Mine is worst case scenario - got 2B in Dec 2009, never ride on the road at all until now. Included a poll so once you pass can share how many pracs in total before you can go TP.
  23. Hi guys. I got my 2B licence in 2009. Never bought a bike and never rode a bike on the road since I pass my TP. Now I want to enrol for 2A at SSDC and get a 2A bike, maybe super4. Hence I got a few questions. 1) Is 2A practical generally easier than 2B, since the bike is bigger and more stable? 2) Is there a refresher course for 2B at SSDC or anywhere else? Been 6 years since my last time with a bike. 3) About buying, how do people change bike every year when the instalment takes more than a year? 4) My purpose for getting a bike just for leisure, not for work transport. I'm not sure if I like riding or not. So what will you suggest I look for in terms of COE left on the bike. 5) Whats the difference between getting bike left 2 years COE compared to those left 9-10 years?
