  1. I experienced something like this before. When the bike "dies", there are two scenarios, one - the engine dies and all lights and indicators are off, two - just the engine is dead but all lights and indicators are still on. Which one is yours? Cut the wind shield? This will affects the overall aerodynamics of the bike. Sure you want to do it? BTW AA parts are expensive to buy.
  2. The word "Engine" is pretty vague. It's all depends on his definition then and there. All u can do now is negotiate into having the water pump cover under his so-called "engine" warranty, else a complete water pump assembly will set you back $200+. Good Luck.
  3. • Stand close and facing the left side of scooter • Left hand holding the left handle grip and the right hand holding onto the pillion arm rest. • Left foot stands firmly on the ground and right foot steps down the main stand • Make sure both side of the stand is placed firmly on the ground • Start shifting your body weighs onto the right foot while stepping down main stand further. • Viola! The trick is to use your body weight to bring the bike onto it's main stand, and not by using your arms to pull it onto main stand. Do it slowly, speed doesn’t matter here.
  4. Maybe the noise is not from your exhaust? The noise level should be reverse. Louder as you accelerate.
  5. Have PM you regarding which shop. Throttle Cable - never change before. Current mileage is slightly beyond 49000 Miles.
  6. It uses the same oil filer as X9 & you can get it from automachinery located Rowell Road
  7. ITALY .. we are still around. Just not checking in that often.
  8. My "feather" weight of 55Kg might explained the high mileage
  9. seems like there isn't much new 200cc scooters brought into S'pore, this limits the choice available to us riders with only class 2B. Hope the importers will solve our dilemma.
  10. There are few things that can affects the overall fuel consumption Tire pressure - make sure they are properly inflated Engine oil - when was the last time you change it Riding habit - hard initial acceleration will not help in this case City riding (lots of stop and start) - will consume more fuel Riding with pillion - will also reduce the litre per Km I ride on the expressway 95% of the time and my is roughly 32Km/L. I also practise top up the petrol after every 200Km travelled.
  11. Besides the usual servicing (EO/sparkplug), u also need to monitor the coolant level, change of transmission oil, engine oil filter etc etc. Please refer to the maintenance chart in the user manual. With regards to wear and tear on the belt, rollers & u-shoe, it's possible to check them visually? If so, how much would a shop charge just to check? You will have to remove the cover of the variator block to inspect. Charges varies among shops. Most of us change this 3 items every 12000km to 15000km. What's the recommended tyre pressure for the Atlantic? With pillion, 220 for front and 240 for rear. There is a guide in the glove compartment you can refer to. Dun
  12. Follow up ... Problem was resolved after changing out the worn down Variator unit. Performance mis-match. Do note that after changing the clutch unit, sometime you will still experience clutch slip issue but this is easily fix by changing the spring in the clutch to one that should your bike. Lesson learnt - it's better to change the clutch, speed bell, Variator and belt at the same time.
  13. Confirmed problem due to Clutch slip - the clutch mechanism has suffered wear and tear. Got the clutch and bell replaced (polini), however now experiencing a minor performance problem, the bike seems too has lost it ability to pick up speed quickly, especially going from 60 to 80km/h. Will monitor the situation before sending it back to the workshop.
  14. A problem started to develop with my AA200 yesterday. During moving off from stationary, there is a strong vibration (seemed like it coming from the Variator assembly) and a sudden lost of drive power, however once I apply more acceleration, the vibration disappear and did not re-appear until moving from the next complete stop again. Anyone has this experience before?
