  1. just took my test ytd, 2nd attempt. my 1st attempt was in jan 2011 and i failed to complete bumpy course then. that's why i was quite shocked to find out that they cut the number of testees by half. there's only a total of 25 class 2 and 2A testees per session. i was only allowed to start from the start line after the rider before me completed his figure 8, that's how wide the gap is. and there is a tester stationed at the traffic junction just to mark on how you react at the junction, and your lane changing etc. safety checks are thus very important because apart from the courses, the testers will also look out for you when you are "on the road". for example, when i started from the start line, apart from the 1st tester, the tester at narrow plank was also looking at me. so do remember to check all your blind spots, do the check backs correctly and dont put your right foot down except after the e-brake. there was a testee who failed because he went up the wrong slope, it was a real pity cos he only got 6 points. so yup make sure you remember where to turn. like what edwinling said earlier, BE CONFIDENT AND RIDE LIKE A PRO. my mind was quite blank when i did the test, was just going through the motions. so try not to think too much and you'll do fine. do practise all your safety checks during the lessons itself to get used to it since most riders tend to neglect when they are riding outside (and you shouldnt!). for me it's natural to do safety checks in the circuit cos.. it's a driving circuit. anw my session had arnd 15 to 17 out of 25 who passed (i didnt count). haha so good luck to all!
  2. 1. whenever you want to turn (junctions, going into course, going out of course) 2. when you are turning left at a junction after coming to a complete stop? 3 and 4. signal left to turn on to slope, stop, then signal right and check inwards, both on left and right side. moving off from complete stop is always signal right. eh i dont really get what you mean for 5 and 6 haha.
  3. bumpy course is compulsory must use gear 1 right? after pylon must kick down gear. eh i think just focus more on completing the course instead of thinking whether you will fall. it'll be over in a matter of seconds. the instructor say must lean your weight a bit in front of your seat. maybe you can ask the instructor to teach you the correct way to stand, different ppl different build the standing posture will be a bit different one i think.
  4. of course you have to look at the plank first in order to mount it haha. grip tank tight and relax your upper body. after mounting look straight and balance yourself. go faster if you cannot stay on the plank for too long, better than falling off plank
  5. eh it's not really a lesson, just ferry a pillion rider around the outer circuit, dont even need to go into the courses. heng for me also i damn scared ferry pillion for figure of 8 cos i'll slow down alot
  6. yeah shldnt be a problem, i also ride occasionally only cos i dont have my own bike. but had some problems with the bumpy course and figure 8 at first so went for 1 CR before the assessment and passed. cleared all my lessons within a week (:
  7. Tequila, yup dont give up! go for more revision sessions and try again. did it rain very heavily this morning? it was pouring around noon when i woke up haha.
  8. xiu xiu, haha i think i know who you are congrats on getting your vespa!
