  1. I have been doing so for more than 12 years with a few bikes in succession.
  2. Could be your riding position - if your body is not absolutely arrow straight then your steering will naturally compensate - I've been 'offline' for years.
  3. Oakley is price-controlled in Singapore - how are they cheaper?
  4. Front sprocket about 25 - 30,000km Rear sprocket about 85,000km
  5. Just don't smoke for a couple of days - got your $15 and also cut down on ciggies - win win
  6. Had an issue on my FZS600 - after 10 solid years of service - simple fix - just replace 1 no. cap
  7. Anyone tried the Pilot Road 3 yet? How are they doing? Where did you get them? How much were they?
  8. Another one coming up: 22nd - 24th February.
  9. Well I went up and all I can say is that it was excellent. You got all-day action, pit area is interesting to watch and the place was deserted. Excellent. Didn't see any Lorenzo's flag though
  10. Hey vyruz - thanks a lot for posting the reply - excellent news and I think it will be worth the effort to go. Cheers!
  11. Hi - anyone know if the public is allowed entry to watch the testing in February? I know there are specialist trips but was wondering if the general public can watch . . . if so, is it normal ticket entry etc . .. Cheers.
  12. I'm on the '08 model and running around Singapore can just about squeeze 310 before the thing starts flashing at me. Haven't dared to try how far it will go after that. How are you finding the new model?
  13. That's a very generous offer - cheers. Will try and work through the issue first though. Will keep you updated.
  14. Very detailed, thanks. I will definitely look out on those part numbers. Sounds like you may have gone through this before?
  15. I guess it all depends if you are buying your new bike from the same shop. If you get a great deal on a new bike the shop may break even or just lose a little bit - they will make their money on taking in your old bike at low price and then mark up to sell on. If you get a great price on your trade-in then you might be paying too high for your new bike. It's all about the difference between the two - the individual price may not be the best way to measure.
  16. Copper washers... where do they go?
  17. Finally traced! Looks like minor leakage from under the cam cover. Damn, looks like a new gasket coming up. Cheers for the suggestions anyway.
  18. And as for the tap water - yeah that's very annoying - I've had that too. Distilled water OK but not the c*** from the tap. Cheers
  19. That sounds a very likely cause. Thanks for the tip (and to the others as well). Looks like I'll be spending the weekend with the fairing off instead of riding
  20. That's a good suggestion. I know I should get the fairing off before riding any more but it only seems to last for a minute then goes away.... Cheers!
  21. Anyone experienced smoke coming out of the fairing when start up? Wondering if I've got some insulation trapped against the engine......
  22. Check where the tyre is made: If "Made in Spain" on the left side should be the best quality. If heard if made elsewhere (Thailand etc) may be a cheaper version with inferior compounds....
  23. Just my opinion - you may find different - but I've had so many sets of BT020 and 021 - find they are better and cheaper than any of the other "sport touring" tyres. Strange, but I trust them most in the wet - as good as the PR2 but less $$ (that's P 'Road' 2 - not 'Race')
  24. Interesting to read these posts..... I am running a 2003 FZS600 (had it from new) - still on the original battery and it's still going strong. (I always turn off the lights before starting and again before stopping) Sorry if I spoil your mood :-) maybe I just lucky...
  25. Before I bought my GTR I rented one in the UK last year so I could test out for 3 solid days before buying. The Kawa agent where I rented advised that Kawasaki actually have a purpose made clear film to stick on the panniers. Needless to say I didn't buy the film but knowing that it's out there it might be worth a search. Here's a couple of places to start: http://www.ducoscratch.com.au/proddetail.asp?prod=KawasakiGTR%2D1400FullKit http://www.1400gtr.org.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=721 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GENUINE-KAWASAKI-PROTECTIVE-FILM-FOR-PANNIERS-1400GTR_W0QQitemZ130347988112QQcmdZViewItemQQimsxq20091129?IMSfp=TL091129211002r14305 (By the way: it only took me half an hour of my 3 day ride to decide I had to get the GTR when came back to SPore)
