Tanarthur>>> It is the whole stock base plate with the flat "platform". Apparent the bike doesn't comes with it. If I buy it, the side bars above the panniers need to be removed to install the stock base plate.

Hey Peeps, I just received my bike 3 days ago. Price adjusted to $29300 due to $5800 COE. QUICK FEELING REVIEWS - I start with the "bad" ones first. 1. ENGINE IS HOT - I do not know why the engine is hot. I can feel my pants near the calf area like being ironed. Even my wife feel it too as pillion. The highest temp I hit for the past 3 days was 36degC. Is it because it is a new bike ? 2. SELF INDICATOR - The left/right indicator will switch off by itself after 20 seconds. I find this quite troublesome if I took a long time to switch lane while riding. But if the bike is stationary, no problem. The indicator will not switch off automatically. 3. TRACTION CONTROL - By default, it will be switched on at the MAX or 2 bar. So, every time, I need to switch it to 1 bar. There are only 2 selection. 1 bar or 2 bar. 4. NO UNIVERSAL BASE PLATE - The bike came with 2 side panniers but not with base plate. So if you want to install top box, you need to buy the universal base plate at $388.00. I ordered mine. Will only come in May. 5. SMALLER AND COMPACT - Just a minor issue, not for me but for my wife. She felt the pillion space is smaller than V-strom. She felt a little bit cramp which she will get used to it. THE GOOD ONES 1. FREAKING SMOOTH. - One distinctive feature of this bike is its SMOOTHNESS. No more to be said about this. Just SMOOTH. 2. LED DASHBOARD - It is quite visible when you are riding with the sun shining on the dashboard. It is visible. - Big button. Easy to press. - Everything is digital. 3. RIDING POSTURE - Riding posture is high, wide and comfortable. It reminds me of my time as MP Outrider. Quite similar feel. No need to change the handle bar. - It helps in my judgement riding with the two panniers. 4. ALL IS FUN AND GOOD. - I could sense it is a corner monster but I could not push it because of the new tires. - Acceleration is so freaking powerful and smooth. The moment I cross 110km/h, you could feel the bike is "taking off". I have yet to test the V-TEC. Overall, I think I made a good switch. Within my budget. Got the looks. Stopped twice by other riders asking what bike. They thought it was the new Varadero 1k. The only thing that getting on my nerves is the hot engine.

Yupz. COE now is $5800.00. Need to top up $800.00. Speedway try to bid at $5000.00. Tuesday will be going down to the bikeshop to find out more updates about my booking.

Ya'll ! Thanks for your concerns and opinions. Of course, there are so many school of thoughts and angles of view. I do appreciate and respect all of them. Couple of my colleagues, buddies and my younger brother, they bought their recent bikes from Speedway. They do get good offer. So, I trust their recommendations. I lazy lah bah to go around from one shop to shop. I just want simple and easy transaction. If the offer on the table not good, I walk away. Just happen so, the offer was quite good. I just took it. If the things didn't go the way I expected, I only got myself to blame. I must see this deal through because, I can't wait to ride it. kifakw>>> Looi's, I did asked about Crosstourer not Crossrunner. If liberty will be around $550.00. I was advised by Wei Jie, 1st year go for 1st party then subsequent go for 2nd party. What are your thoughts ? Only when you pay late or want to trade, all the funny stuff will come out. Anyway, I am excited because this is my first time buying a brand new bike. My past bikes are pre-owned. Main Stand 3. 2 Side panniers 4. Radiator Mesh Guard 5. 1 Free Helmet 6. 1 Bike cover Wei Jie said that top box is much more expensive if they bring in as a whole. They can give a little cheaper option by using SHAG. For me, I already looking at Hepco Becker. I personally dun like the stock top box. Been looking around for helmets and other accessories. Honestly and sincerely, Wei Jie came to me as a nice guy. He reminds of my previous bike seller, Dili Trading. He was direct, open and honest. Even my friend that came along with me mentioned that he rarely met a salesperson like Wei Jie. Friendly and can talk things over. Initially, I was reserved because of some bad reviews I read about Speedway online. Crossing my fingers. I cannot wait for my bike. ETA 1st week of March. I am greatly influenced by Cager >>>

Hi, I am letting go my 2010 Water-Proof Riding Jacket and Pants. Bought at Chiap Lee for $988.00. I have only used twice for my Krabi trip 2010 and KL trip 2011. Tested it under the heavy showers during the trip. Works great except for the zipped ventilation areas. Letting go because touring had to take the back seat for now due to my current priorities. Whats uP DaWGz!! Yo Yo...just wanna check...do anyone here using 15/45 for your sprockets settings? If you do, what is your mileage per liter and do experience of dragginess when opening throttle? Plus, when you start your bike, do the rpm ramp up to 2krpm before it stablize at/around 1krpm? Need to double check. Because I want to make some minor changes..
