  1. Got them now thank you kakrow, also got all the parts diagrams lists. big problem with Daelim here in the UK is that nobody stocks parts and nobody will ship parts to UK from any other country even though they have them in stock? not very good for trade. Has anybody else noticed that the wireing diagram in the Daystar VL125 manual shows a two wire flasher relay when they have a three wire version fitted on the harnes, very strange. Phil
  2. Thank you stsoh, I have just pleaded with them on facebook as they seem to give good responces via that portal, fingers crossed, USA no longer deal with or keep Daelim parts and Austrailian and Bahamas Daelim owners are having similar problems after reading blogs, I need to find a friend in Germany who is willing to purchase and repost to the UK. I will keep you all informed Phil
  3. Well I am starting to wish I had never purchased a Daelim here in the Uk as the crew at CKA dont even reply to emails or web contacts, this could end up a big problem for parts over here and they are still selling Daelim MCs on Ebay in the UK. Phil
  4. Just tried to order parts needed for my DS from http://www.dataparts.de/index.php?language=en but sorry to say they do not ship or take orders from outside of Germany, what a shame I am very dissapointed (so much for the European trade agreement) oh well back to the drawing board as they say. Phil
  5. Thank you for the reply stsoh, exactly the information I required, you are indeed very knowledgable about Daelim motorcycles and your help and advice is very much appreciated, I love this little machine and want to keep it on the road for as long as possible and now I know where to identify and purchase parts in Europe it will be much simpler. Thank you agian. Phil
  6. Hi guys, UK Hardly Daylimson VL125 owner here looking for a bit of help and advice please, firstly my name is Phil from the UK and the bike is a 2006 VL125 brown + beige with spoked wheels, the engine I have fitted at pressent is an air cooled 124cc VF125E in black with no oil cooler which has a nicer feel to it than the origional VL125E engine, it has a better take off and slightly higher top speed (give it a good handfull of throtle and it will lift the front wheel and my 14 stone) I must say I like the bike very much and I have had a lot of bikes since getting my licence 35 years ago, the bike is very comfortable to ride and corners very smooth at high speeds, it sounds loud as I have a slash cut silencer / muffler fitted as the origional exhaust rotted through with rust very quickly. Does any body on here have a PDF copy of the VL125 parts diagrams and wireing diagram? as there are none here in the UK nor is there any parts dealers, I need a rear wheel sprocket retaining washer if anybody has one to sell and is willing to post to the UK? I also need to know if there should be a washer or spacer plate behind the rear sprocket on the spoked wheel version of the VL125? Has anybody fitted a bigger CC engine like 185cc 200cc or even better 250cc into the VL125 frame? as it is so nice a ride I think it deserves more HP under the tank, if yes I would love details and photographs if possible. ride safe and thank you. Phil
  7. Hi again stsoh, my rear wheel has the above mentioned washer missing and here in the UK there are no dealers with microfich or parts lists/diagrams do you know what thickness this washer should be in mm as I have made a plate but it is not holding sprocket very good. thank you again. Phil
  8. Thank you stsoh, my mistake I thought the VF 125 was the RW but I now know it is not, the VF engine I have in my daystar is the same engine but in black and without an oil cooler (no oil cooler fitted as standard) engine number VF125E 1204421 The origional VL125 engine from my Daystar which is the 2006 model brown and beige with spoked wheels is silver with oil cooler and a rounded cylinder head cover engine number VL125E 1048181 but it requires repair. both are 124cc 13hp (9.7Kw)@10000 rpm bore 56.5mm x 49.5mm with torque 10Nm (7.41lbs)@7500 rpm. Thank you for the daystar corner link Phil
  9. Hi, Im Phil in the UK and you have a great site here with lots of interesting reading! I have a Daelim Daystar VL 125 which is honestly the most comfortable ride I have ever owned and I have owned a lot of motor bikes in the last 36 years, my little VL 125 currently has a very good RW 4 valve 125cc air cooled engine without oil cooler as the VL engine had some problems, I wonder if an old CG125 engine would fit in the VL 125? it would also be interesting to be able to fit the RW 150cc engine for a little extra HP. keep posting please very interesting subject to me. Phil
