Thinking of going to City Square in JB. Anyone knows of any safe spot to park? Saw a lot of bikes parking near the train station. Since its open area is it safe to park there? Anyone has any idea how much it cost to park there?
-
Thanks RK for the advice. But I saw a lot and I mean a lot of bikes parked there. Anyway in OCBC centre where do you park? I entered before but never see any bikes inside all cars only so don't dare to park. Are there specific lots alocated for bikes or just park anywhere you want? My office just shifted to Raffles Place so trying to find a proper parking spot. Maybe will try parking at Singapore Land Towers again, my friend been parking there for months although he never work there never kena stop before.

Anyone knows of any "proper" parking for bikes in Raffle Place? My friend told me to park in Singapore Land Towers. Yesterday I park there, eveything was fine but this morning was stopped by the security guard told me for season parking only. So had to park on the pavement infront of Market Street. Anyone knows if UOB Centre or UOB Plaza can park? How about OCBC Centre?

Now only FX plate...got to wait for FY plate than FZ. FZ1R looks very cool but very easy for people or TP to mark your bike.

Hi Guys, Check out the latest Fazer6 article. Looks real cool sepecially the LCD meter. http://www.motorcycledaily.com/12august03_...4yamaha_fz6.htm Anyone wanna buy a second hand Fazer6 FW plate? But must wait for the new Fazer6 to be out.

Can go for 230 miles (368km) before the reserve fuel lights up. Reseve fuel is at around 18+litres. Full tank is 22 litres.

Wah really envy you. Ride a fazer1000, changed to a 600 changing still to another bike. If you don't mind me asking, why did you give up riding the 600? Looking for a sportier bike? Anyway do you still have your screen to sell? Thiking of getting a screen to replace the current one. Let me know the difference between the screens and more importantly the price. Thanks.
-
Nope. No problems with starting the bike every morning. No problems with the headlights as well as mine has been rewired when I took from the shop. My only complaints is that since the fuel tank is kinda large, have to stretch a bit to reach the handlebars. Maybe I have short arms but I'm getting used to it.

Hey gsxxer .. good to hear from you. Thought the Fazer riders have dissapeared. Can't make it on the 6th July though. I'm the official driver for my fiancee's brother's wedding. Maybe next time I'll join you guys.

Hi schnauzer, Got mine for $14,300. Thought it is cheap..but yours is cheaper. I was quoted $998 for the insurance. But saw the insurance was only $750 from AXA. How much is your insurance? With the Givi box and bracket costs me $14,600 altogether. So how do you find Fazer6, do you think it's underpowered?
-
No idea dude... so you thinking of getting a Fazer6 as well?
-
Hi schnauzer, When did you get your Fazer? Got mine on the 31st of May. Still running in the engine now. What color is your bike? Mine's silver with a silver box. Do you think the baby Fazer is underpowered? As for the new Fazer, I don't think it looks the same. The engine is using the R6 engine instead of the current Thundercat engine so the engine will look different. The grabrails are no longer at the back they are at the side like the Fazer1000. The rear light uses an LED light. The seat looks less thick than the current one. The lights I cannot see as the picture shows the bike from the back. This is only comments from the picture I saw in the magazine. Don't know how the real Fazer6 will be. You can checkout t.w.o mag July edition pg 8 to see the new fazer6. The new Fazer6 will be quiter than the current Fazer because of the law. I kinda like the sound of the current Fazer. Ever heard how a Fazer100 sounds like?
-
Check out t.w.o magazine July 2003 edition Pg 008. There's a picture of the new Fazer 6!! Extracted from the article : The new bike is expected to use the R6 motor, as it was mainly the noise from the ex-Thundercat lump that failed to meet the guidelines. The more modern R6 motor is quieter than the outgoing Cat's. This will also give the Fazer plenty of extra poke. Wah..maybe should have waited before buying my Fazer6. But it's ok. Cannot wait any longer to get my Fazer. To me the Fazer's sound is already quiet (compared to two stroke bikes). Wonder how quiet the authorities wants the engine to be.

They did not really break down the price. But below is my guess : Bike : 12,500 GST (4%) : 500 Insurance : 998 COE : 300 Box + Bracket : 300 They got their bike from Hong Leong. Quite a good deal as the last time I went to Hong Leong they quoted me 14.7k without the box!! Yep mine's a Silver color. Not many colors to choose from. Only 3 I think (red, blue and silver). Don't they they have a 600 version in gsxxer's bumblebee color. As for Africa Twin and Fazer, personally I prefer a Fazer coz it's lighter and has more power. (95bhp compared to AT's 59bhp). Africa twin is also quite tall and heavy and I am not a big person.. so if fall die cannot pick up. An Africa Twin is as heavy as a Fazer1000 but the power output is half of a Fazer1000. BTW you are the one who convince me to get a Fazer instead of a TMAX. Why the sudden change of mind? Don't you want to be a fazerer.. Anyway take your time to choose. As long as you are happy with the bike that you bought. Think this week is going to be the longest week of my live. Can't wait to get my Fazer on Satuday.

Got if for 14.3k Insurance costs $998 from AXA. Added another $300 for a Givi box and bracket.
-
Just bought my Fazer6 just now. Will be getting it next Saturday. Paid 14.6k including Givi box and brackets. Actually I thought of getting an Africa Twin at first but decided not to as it's too tall and heavy. Also would be difficult squeezing thru traffic. Why not Vaderado or V-Storm which has more power. Cannot wait until 2004 leh...my butt is itching to sit on a Fazer. So whats are the improvements of the 2004 model to the 2003 model?
-
Just bought my Fazer600 today (Sorry gsxxer, guess your persuasion powers are not strong enough ). Cost me 14.3k otr. Inclusive of 2nd hand IU unit. Also bought a Silver GV box with brackets costing an additional $300. So altogether paid 14.6k for it. Will be get it next week. So will post my comments whether the fazer's little brother is underpowered or not.

hmm... why this thread suddenly so quiet one? Anyway just passed my Class2 yesterday and getting a Fazer6 soon. Chrisonance, You got your Fazer already? Before you guys ask me to get a Fazer1 instead let me give the reasons why I prefer a Fazer6. - Smaller in size so easier to squeeze thru traffic. - Don't need such a big cc bike in Singapore. - Me not so big size so the Fazer1 might not suit me. - Easier to push around I guess as lighter. - Prefer the seats on a Fazer6 than Fazer1. - CHEAPER..both insurance and bike itself.
-
Passed my Class 2 yesterday!! Getting my Fazer6 soon. Hong Leong no more Fazer 6 on display, went there last week. The lady quoted me 14.9k leh. What's the market price now? Most shops selling around 14.7k like that... insurance for a 26 year old. Maybe COE go up (No more $1). De Xing selling for 13.8k but 2nd party insurance.
-
Just kidding lah. Anyway need some advice from you. U used to ride a scram rite? Know any shops that would take in a scram at a reasonable price? Went to a number of shops but most of them do not want to trade in a scram. Guess either have to keep my current bike or look for a private buyer.
-
Went down to HongLeong also last week but it was closed. What time is their operating hours? Managed to take alook at the Fazer through the class window. Also saw the TMAX. De Xing quoted me a cheaper price for the Fazer6. 13.8k but the insurance is 2nd party. Says can top up to first party. By the way, been wanting to ask you this, Is that you waving in the blue fazer?
-
Went to Looi's last week. Did not see any Fazers there. But ask Mr Lee and he says they have Fazers. Quoted me a price $14k+ I think... However they do not want to take in my scram although I bought the bike from them 2 years ago. Now either keep my old bike or look for a private buyer.
-
er...scared leh. What if I don't fix properly and one wheel comes off while riding...better get a professional to do it. Maybe can try changing engine oil for a start....hmmm...dunno where to throw the oil after that..cannot throw into the drain rite? Wait we all drink Newwater.
-
Anyone can recommend a good bike shop where I can find a Fazer6? Thinking of scouting for a Fazer6 tomorrow... maybe take a look at Looi's.
-
Any of you went to Ceneileisure Orchard yesterday? Saw a Fazer 1000 with a silver fairing and blue tank hmm.. can you choose your own colors? The other day saw another Fazer along the CTE. Seems the number of Fazer riders in Singapore is growing.
