  1. Dear Moderator

Like the previous posters, I would like to post a for-sale message. Can you please give me permission to do that?

    Thanks

  2. Hi Guys Any Gen 1 Vmax owners in Singapore who know where to order tires online? I can see my size on Amazon but they don't ship to Singapore. I usually use Metzeler ME880 110/90 (F) and 150/90 ® but am told they can't be imported from Germany any more. Keeping my fingers crossed. Trevor
  3. Thanks for the replies.
  4. Hi All I'm a newbie here. Can anyone tell me how one goes about deciding on a reasonable asking price for a used bike? I never sold one before. I have a 1996 Yamaha Vmax with a 2023 COE. I'm not fishing for offers as I haven't decided if I am selling it yet. I just wondered how one establishes a starting point. Who to ask? For example, I wouldn't expect a dealer to offer much if anything, unless I'm trading in for a new bike. Also, not sure if one can ask more depending on the length of the COE. I asked 2 biker buddies about this. One said of course COE makes a difference, the other said it didn't. Just don't know how to find out. Thanks in advance.
  5. Anyone know a GOOD quality rain cover for big bike? I have been buying Okado 4L brand from Ah Boy for some years but the quality seems to have gone down a lot. The last 3 I bought came apart at the stiching really easily. I have to bin two new ones after only a few days of use. Am prepared to pay more for better quality. Thanks
  6. Anyone got any advice or do's and don'ts about buying a new Kawasaki GTR1400 Concours? I went to visit Everwhatever but wasn't impressed. I got half an hour of ifs, buts, maybes and it all depends. Anyway to see one? No. You must order first. Can I come down and look at one next time you take delivery? No. How about if a customer's bike comes in for servicing. Could I come down just to look - not touch? No. Why do I feel like I'm just buying a plate of rice rather than a $34k bike? Anyone recommend a good parallel importer?
  7. Dear all I'm a newbie on this forum so hope you'll excuse some newbie questions. I'm thinking of buying a new bike and am very attracted to this sports tourer. My current bike, which I bought new in 96, is a Yamaha Vmax. I've had a ton of fun with this bike over the years but it's getting old and it's time for a change to a more up to date type of machine. It's early days yet and I'm just starting to research the bike. Can anyone offer any advice like do and don'ts about ordering a new one or dealers to recommend or avoid, or particular specs or model to look for? For example, when I bought the Vmax, I had to make sure I ordered the full power US version as there were restricted power versions for different markets etc. Any things like that to consider? Also, I'd grateful to hear from any owners of this bike about their experience good or bad or known problems with this model. I'd especially like to hear opinions about quality of after sales service and repairs (my Vmax was damaged twice by some ham-fisted mechanics at Hong Leong during routine servicing. Since then, I've done ALL my own repairs and servicing). Thanks in advance. Trevor
  8. Hi All Does anyone know if there is anyone in Singapore bringing in rear paddock stands for bikes? Like these ones made by T-Rex racing in the US for example. http://t-rex-racing.com/catalog.php?category=45 My bike is a 1st gen Yamaha Vmax, I do all my own maintenance and I need a better way to lift the rear wheel off the ground. I'm sick of using blocks of wood under the centre stand! I'll probably need to self-import one but thought I'd check with the forum first. Thanks in advance Trevor
