Piaggio Vespa PX200 Millennium Edition

Up for sale is a beautiful Vespa PX 200 Millennium Edition, the paint job is about 2 years old (I was told, it comes in light non metallic blue). I bought this Vespa about 6 months ago as I had problems converting my international license to a class 2, eventually my appeal went through in June and I was given the full license so I have now upgraded to a bigger bike. In June the Cross broke and the gear was stuck in 3rd, took it to Tong Aik and had them fully rebuild the engine. The bill was 908$, you can go there and talk to the Aunty; she will tell what they have done to it. Beside the extensive work on the engine I have also spent about 1,200$ in other parts. I fitted a new set of YSS shocks, Sip Road2 exhaust, front and rear chrome racks, Sip tubeless rims, I have replaced all indicators with new clear one, new headlight (the old one had sign of corrosion and reflected less light – please note the Millennium edition comes with the brighter halogen light bulb), clear tail-light, indicator beeper (so that you don’t forget you have the indicator on), a USB charger connected to the ignition key to recharge my phone (the charger is on only when the key is turned). The bike also has a new battery, new handgrips matching the grey trims, I have recently bled the front brake as it was a bit “spongy” before, I have used DOT3 oil that works a bit better and the ‘harder’ DOT4. I have replaced the starter motor as the old one was no longer working. Please note Tong Aik also cleaned and inspected the carburetor, the pre-mix works fine but I have disconnected it and I am doing my own mix at 2% (just habit, I owned many Vespa in the past and I prefer to mix the oil myself). If you want to use the premix you just need to connect the oil tube. COE expires in 2023, the Vespa has done about 800km since the engine was rebuilt. Now, there are a few Vespa on sale at the moment, up to you to decide which one you like the most. I had a few Vespa before and always liked the classic look so I am not so keen on heavily customized ones. Being a 2T engine you know that they will need to be redone every 50/60K km, so here you essentially have a fully restored one both esthetically and mechanically with all the nice features Piaggio fitted on the Millennium edition (halogen light, hazards, new seat design…). My asking price is SGD 7,900. You can tell from what I have done to this bike that I took great care of it although I knew I was going to upgrade it at some point. If you just need a cheap and cheerful Class 2 B ride this is not the bike for you, if you want a solid, reliable and beautiful Vespa PX then you may have found what you are looking for. This is also one of the last batches of 200cc one, for some strange reason Piaggio decided that 150cc was more than enough… Last comment, someone is using the picture of this Vespa as well as the number plate on some scam ads you can find browsing old ads, I do not know who is behind that but the whole thing has been reported to the traffic police.
