Magnetic coil for 2004/05 R1

Anyone here had his/her magnetic coil replaced? Can share with me how much u spend for replacing one?

By magnetic coil you mean the stator coil or the generator.

If yes, I had mine replaced in March 2007.

Unfortunately I cant remember how much it cost.

 

What you can do is check the microfiche files over at Yamaha USA at:

http://www.yamaha-motor.com/sport/parts/home.aspx

With the relevant part numbers in hand, check with Auto Machinery with the cost. From there you will know just by how much your shop is ripping you off.

 

I will try to find my receipt - if I still have it - and let you know what it cost.

Oic, well I just got the magnet and the stator replace. The magnet is the one that is costly.

Overall it cost me $950 to get these things done. If any of u all have some sound coming from the generator found on the left bottom of the engine, go and have a check, dont get ur stator damage.

At the most get the magnet replaced.....
