Hi ty for viewing this thread. I jus nid opinion from u guys regarding renewal of insurance. Jul 4th i nid to renew my insurance and they quote me at $600+ (as im below 21) but....my 21st bday is on jul 16 and i checked, they will quote me $400+ if im 21.

So im thinking of laying it up (if its possible but also troublesome but $200 its alot) or just pay the $600+ premium..

Lay up ur bike just for that shortage of 12 days?

In e end e amount of $ paid to do e lay up & normalised back might be more than wat u can save & not worth e trouble...

My 1 cent...

Steps to do a proper KNNBCCB with middle finger.

1. Bow down slightly, looking intensely at objective

2. Like a raging bull, hop and jog slowly towards objective

3. Take your left palm and slap it hard on the right mid-arm with a SLAP!

4. With charisma, raise right arm, whilst showing middle finger (with left palm trapped in bend right arm)

5. Shout! KNNBCCB

I suppose your road tax is expiring on the same day.

If according to what you say, you will be saving about $200.

I say, go do a layup.

layup at lta cost a few dollars.

-after 12 days, tow bike to inspection center to do inspection,

-then tow back home. once the inspection result is updated at lta website,

-buy your insurance, once insurance status is updated at lta website

-buy roadtax and you are good to go.

might need a few more days than 12 days because of the waiting time for inspection center and insurance to update at lta.

you can also do everything in one day depending on inspection center crowd.

-tow bike for inspection

-get inspection cert

-but insurance get receipt and cover note

-with these 2 head to lta to buy roadtax and you are good to go.

Just remember one thing, you are NOT suppose to ride the bike before you pass inspection, buy insurance and road tax.

Ultimately you might still save about $100

Ty for the opinion.. But jus checking can i like leave the bike like that without any insurance and roadtax and without lay up. Will lta or tp issue me any fines or letters? Is dat a penalty?

You'll need to pay the late road tax renewal fee...

That's all...

This might be a betta option IMO...
