Hi, my bike was leaking coolant from the bottom near the front (belly pan) area. As I was riding home, i notice my temperature was a lot higher than usual despite the fan being on. At traffic light, there was smoke coming from my bike and i can smell my coolant (i verified it's my coolant after smelling the leftover at home, they smell the same).

I stopped by the road side for about 10-15 minutes. I couldn't identify where the leak came from coz it was dark with all the fairings everywhere. I check the temp needle and it cool down really fast (back to around 1/3 of the guage). I quickly continue the last 5 minutes of my journey home. Reached home i can hear some burning sound (zzz sound).

What could be the possible cause of this huh? Coolant hose break? Radiator crack? Radiator cap spoil? Around how much would I be expecting to pay for the repair?

What can I do tml to ensure i can reach the bike shop (bedok to ubi) safely? Safe for both my bike and me. Top up coolant? top up plain water? ride below certain rpm?

Practical Test Checklist:

√ Sudden and late braking

√ Faulty signal lights

√ Superb use of horn

√ Assume road belongs to father

√ Never at fault no matter what happens

√ Tailgating confidence

Result: YES! You qualify to become a Singapore car driver!

1. Check your coolant level. Most likely low

2. Check the colour of your coolant. Check for oil. If oil present, you're farked. High chance blown headgasket

3. Check engine oil colour. If engine oil looks like cappacino, you're farked. Blown headgasket.

Let's pray it's just a broken hose.

I don't open a shop so I can't quote you on the repair. I wouldn't ride it at all but if you insist and wanna save money on tow, ride it at night when there's less traffic, high gears low rpm and monitor water temp closely. If it hits above average, stop and let it cool. A small radiator hose leak could possible end you up in a headgasket change. Enjoy

Hi Bro,

Dunno what bike u are riding..if it is a super 4 version S, good luck..most prob you have a cracked engine head. Check that there is no coolant coming out of the holes in your engine. There is a small hole at the engine head on your right hand side. if there is coolant from the hole..then gone case..bye bye..

I exported of my version S because of this...

Aniwae let's hope for the best that it is just a loose hose or radiator leak only.
