Can it be used with a hi-res computer monitor? Or is it only compatible with a HDTV?

 

I noticed the connecting cables between HDTV & computer monitor different leh ... seems like only HDTV cable can be plugged into game console. Any idea if there are after-market cables for the computer monitor?

Asked one shop & was told PS3 coming in November 17, but cost $1600 (did I hear wrongly?!?!?!?!) and all 8 units coming into his shop has already been sold!!!!!
