my evo doing ok,now still doing hard running in meter oni abt 160kms, not yet tried top speed but pick up not bad for a 180cc scoot but smooth acceleration and ride

thanks for the info, but i belif 200i evo is capable of 120kph right? I really dont wish like 100+ kph like floating, as my ex vespa lx150 does that.

no special preference on which to get (gts or evo), as long as it will serve my purpose of commuting from A to B on mon-fri only. oh ya, i too dont like the flat standboard.

ya but i heard that flat standboard is more comfy for riding rather den the gts200 slant footrest.

i actually love the flat standboard.....

Me too.... I think it makes riding more comfortable. Moreover, it can also be used to carry packages enclosed in plastic bags which are attached to the given hook.

Informative read (though some parts of the text seem to be truncated).

However, considering that the speed limit on Singapore roads is 90 kmh (or 56 mph), is it really worth the bother and expense to meddle with the insides?

There's also something to be said about slower being safer actually, outside the context of racing. But maybe it's just me. :p

just got my hoot of variator and clutch, its a brand called Prodigy which is made in Taiwan. The guy gave me 4 sets of rollers 10g,12g,14g and 16g.

Not fixing up now cos still looking for a torque spring for my clutch and my setting is gonna be more towards improvements in pick-up not top speed so using light rollers/sliders,1000rpm springs

Surprisingly, the clutch and clutch bell actually weighs the same.Good quality materials.

total damage maybe ard USD$220 inclusive shipment.

Wow... quite expensive. You sound very hands-on, man. I am just the opposite.... apart from pumping tyres and petrol, I leave everything else to the workshop people!

Doesn't the V belt disintergrate when snapped like the T Max, Silverwing and Piaggio scooters !! If the Sym doesn't, then there is some serious problem !!!! ANyway, shall diligently changed at 12k as recommended by the manufacterer.
