Hi Katana, sorry for the last reply. Just bought my 2nd hand GTS 200.

Still trying to figure out why my F/C vary so much from you guys.. Hope to have some advise & experience from everyone. Thanks.

 

f/c not gd got alot of thing that will affect it de ,got rider weight ,what mod did u do to your bike ,carburetor dirty time to clean,nvr pump enough air to tyre etc etc

You are right, Mr Han, now i narrowed down the possibilities:

1) i realise when i have a pillion, my RPM have to increase more (+1000RPM), eg. 7000RPM to attain the same pick-up when i riding alone. Me and my pillon weight = 60kg + 70kg.

2) I have just changed a new set of original belt + Dr pulley roller. According the shop, he say Dr pulley roller will have a better pick up, but (which i find out later) > also need higher RPM because it is linear type roller.

3) Tuned idling RPM at 3000RPM. As engine keeps dieing off, due to high fluctuating RPM (range from 1700 ~ 3200RPM). But again, the mechanic said it would not affect much on the fuel consumption, only more noisy engine.

4) carburetor to wash? No recommended as the more you wash, it will detelerate the performace.

5) Tire pressure should be okay from the outside look.

 

So right now thinking how can i improve on my F/C..

hey btw the fuel can use until the icon becomes red isit? i never use till there before not sure how low can go. isit when really damn low must pump liao then the icon will be red? if its just on the last bar and the icon is black means still can go quite abit ah?

 

i ever ride til the last black bar dissapear and the red fuel icon lights up.....never tried utilising the red icon...hehehe i dont dare...wait must push this BIG baby to find a petrol kiosk.....pheww...hard push sia!! lol

I can manage to get ~350 till the fuel light on too.

may be you ride too fast leh,

 

yah lah....maybe.....i only sometimes whack til 110km/h....other than dat i maintain my throttle ease at 90....im using Broquet now....havnt warm up yet.....will update if theres any diff in FC using Broquet....

eh seriously anyone hit above 430km for the tank before? i am not trying to be funny but getting worried how come no one hit this before, it may be because my fuel air ratio too low.

as for mileage as i will repeat again for my own lol.. i can clock 400km at least before light comes on blinking. I do very conservative riding. Don't accelerate suddenly for nothing one unless i pissed lol which rarely happens.

 

Accelerate off slowly from stop helps a lot. i also never let my rpm go more than 7 if possible. (that means less than 100km/h on the not so accurate speedo)

 

Very True....Slow moving Off...really helps...u can feel your throttle smoothen as u open.....thats where ur FC...ma>

wertdeviruz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lol... So u have brought a SYM le ah???? I still remember that we are both looking around for a Kymco scooter a few months ago.... Btw, I kana the same prob as u... pricing prob with Kymco... lol....

 

Ur windshield problem if u really want we can meet out and discuss... I can get an oversized original Sym windshield from Taiwan... alternatively, i believe nudgedoink got a very good deal for some windshield attachment...

bro....i juz push my Broquet Catalyst last nite.....i got to wait around 2 days to let it simmer...heheheh.....then i will reset to c if my FC can hit 430....lol.....i doubt.....lets juz wait and see hor....

Yesterday i saw one GTS bike.. with 2 blue light on the side.. and 2 white light at the tail.. can't remember the color of the bike.. saw at woodlands.. any one riding that bike?

Every morning when I start off my bike. The bike will "vibrate" violently. Usually ard 3000rpm and 4000rpm when the bike starts to pick off.

 

This will not happen when the engine is warm up. Is this normal?

its the auto choke. but how high is ur rpm normally after warm up?
