SYM New Fighter 150 Fuel Consumption

 

 

Just reach 1500km mark, tested long run from sg - melaka - sg of 500km in a day.

 

I noticed that 60~70km/h with 6500x has the best FC, with avg of 110km/h dropped significantly

anyway...to update on my poor man's bike FC...only slight improvement. but also bcos i riding very slowly now. riding at 70km/h max. getting abt 30km/l. still far from ideal, which is ard 38km/l. but if i ride at 80km/h or more...i tink gonna drop back down to ard 25km/l. haiz....tot change small bike can save on petrol.

well just run it in properly. good running in can affect final FC figures so if u do it properly you shd see significant fc improvement.

Well....jus so u know, I dunno wat is the correct running in method. First day already rode up to 90km/h. But now staying ard 70. So...I tink it's all screwed up right?

To shorty, actually FC can get better after 1000k mark.

 

FYI.

 

Normally i ride bke - pie to work, 80~110km/h 6500~8000 rpm, ard 180km Empty light on ,fill 4.5L~5L

 

but there is a case, when I ride to melaka that time, avg 110~130km/h, rpm all the way 9000~9500, 130km I need to fill 5L petrol already.

 

 

I also read taiwanese forum 小老婆俱樂部, down there alot of SYM discussion.

 

You can google that place, quite good...

 

Actually slow doesn't mean good FC, for my new fighter, 6500rpm~ 7000rpm can have the best FC, official site says I can get 46km/L, but I also get 38~39km the most only.

Abt the fc,it's not that I worry, it's cos ichanged to smaller bikecos I wanna save on petrol. But if I'm getting the same fc as my big bike, might as well I don't change.

has anyone here ridden a Piaggio Fly 150? is the pickup speed fast? the sym Fighter is good in the pickup speed.. so I am wondering how's the Fly compare with the SYM.

i would guess the downside of the fly is the parts cost. it definitely will cost more than sym. but...likely to hv better resale value than sym. so...depends on u actually. i tink the price is almost the same right? but the image is different. fighter is more like "racer" type. fly is more euro.

I saw in youtube the piaggo fly can do wheelie.. this shows that it is torquey.. then it should be able to have good pickup speed.. but have to confirm since I have not tried one.

i think almost all scoots hv gd pick up speed. anyway...how fast u want it to b. they r jus small scoots. shouldnt b ur top priority.

My weight is 85kg, highest spd hit 133km/h 9500rpm, locked by ecu. If not I can't imagine how fast can it go.

 

 

For the pick up speed, It's damn fast, I can do side by side with runner. If I am only 60kg, I think that will be another story
