Ok, what are the APPROVED aftermarket exhaust pipe available for our GTS 200 and how much do they cost? Is it a full system or just the back tin can?

AFAIK only legal pipe is GPR. Just went for inspection today. $78.

Mine full system (bought 2nd hand bike + pipe), IIRC shop say $700.

 

Tai Hin got sell NHRC or something (illegal), $450 but look nicer than GPR.

 

Wish got more choices =D

yup...so far n only i know legal ones is GPR :] hopefully they have the GPR ones for Maxsym:] and i heard GPR Exhaust is pretty loud..hehehhee....and better dont use the illeagl ones..the fine is freaking heavy:{

lol..wat other alternative bro?lol..J.costa will be good coz iam using it on my SW, It lowers the rpm and increase the response, u can feel it when u wanna over take ppl:) trust me..but use mix of 14g and 16g

What other alternative? Haha .. good question! I myself dun know! All my scooter, I ride them stock! Maybe I'm used to the Tmax, that I find the speed of the SYM not to my "expectation" ) .... nevertheless, I have grown to love the smoothness of my SYM at speed between 70 to 80kmph.

 

Where do SYm riders meet up? Dun mind meeting up with you guys (if time permits) to learn more on this gu niang of mine

WTF! this morning on TPE, my 2 1/2 week old SYM died on me! Symtom is the same like my previous Tmax ... fuel pump failure. Anyway, had it towed back to Mah Pte and the mechanic stripped the whole fairing and started to troubleshoot. Later found that the fuel line was bend thereby choking out the fuel supply. He also found out that some connection to the batt wasn't fixed properly causing some electrical haywire like hazard light remain on even when you have cut-off the switch. I also realised a new icon on the console i.e "seat opened" icon will light up when the seat is opened !!! Did not know there was such icon until today.

Anyways, I have contacted Mah Motors this morning and they say the new Maxsym 400i bike is here already and will be out next week after all the necessary inspection works:)

The Scoot is running fine now. In fact, find the throttle more responsive. As to how the fuel line can kena bend, well! your guess is as good as mine ! I will write it off as factory screwed up during the installation!

 

Yes, the Maxsym is already here. Let us know the performance ... may consider getting one ...
