2 X 1200 M3Ds, vestax 06, s-s-s-s-scratching till balls no longer itchy haha

1200MK3 you mean? Technics one uh? Next time maybe we can organise outing to DJ compeitions like DJ quest organised by Juice magazine, SSDJ by frontallabs or DMC by technics! Its quite a eye treat seeing how amatuer DJs pitting against each other. How much you pay for your decks uh? I am thinking of upgrading, but I can't agree to the price.

no no 1200 M3D from japan. like the MKII with very minor modifications - power switch is protected so u can't accidentally switch it off, and there's a stylus holder.

i paid $1200 for them coz they were very new. saved abt $2-300. u can get ap air of decks for $800 now. or even less if you're lucky.

what are you using?

I am currently using Numark Battle Pak, a rather low end set.

It comes with 2 TT1625 and 1 DM950 mixer which cost around $800. Its more of a beginner set rather than a professional set. Your turntables what brand one? I never seems to hear of it. $1.2K is for the whole set or just 1 turntable?

I prefer Pioneer DJM-600 Pro DJ, a pro-level mixer packed with automated functions and effects!

It's a four-channel, crossfader mixer with CD/line, mic, phono, and return inputs; send, RCA master, XLR master, record, phones, and booth monitor outs; three bands of EQ on each channel; channel peak meters; track faders and trims; an independent monitor switch (enables independent or simultaneous monitoring of channels, mic, master, and effects); and more. Automatic functions include auto BPM measurement, auto beat sampler, and auto beat effector. Other functions include fader start play, headphone monitor split, a choice of three crossfader curves, and talk over.

Features:

Auto BPM counter measures and digitally displays BPMs

Auto Beat Sampler lets you automatically sample your favorite grooves and play them back at the touch of a button

Sampler functions include single play, loop play, and stretched loop play

Auto Beat Effector links to the BPM and adds effects to each channel, the mic, or master, independently

Effects include delay, echo, auto pan, auto trans (periodically cuts

the sound), auto filter (varies sound color), flanger, reverb, and pitch

shift (+/-1 octave)

Effects send/return allows the addition of outboard effects

Track trim control allows use of diverse sound sources

Booth monitor output allows the sound volume to be independently controlled at the upper surface.

Hey smokin, if i am not wrong, the mixer cost around $400-$500. I think i saw it somewhere, but i am not sure. if you want good mixer, try vestax or technics. if you really got the money, got for rane.

2nd hand

1200 MKII is $750 without stylus i think.

1200 MKII and 1210 MKII are essentially the same. 1210's just black in colour. that's the only difference.

i think the design of the the technics turntable hasn't changed in 30 years! i saw a pic of the mk5 a few mths back, but i don't think it's anything special. If u want cutting edge tech, it's gotta be Vestax!

DJM-600 is good, but also super ex. can demo at Best Denki, Takashimaya :)

Anyway it's the DJ, not the mixer. besides, we're all not super pro haha

1210 got 1 new feature that is the reset pitch button.

with good equipment, we can train to become pro what, haha

the m3D also has that

to each his own, i don't expect others to like what i like either.

in that case, we can learn more from each other.

you got battle breaks? i wanted to learn more about scratching after i saw Joe(that turntablist in LinkinPark), he really rox man.
