When u last wash and tune carb?

When u last do anything to the petrol tank, reserve tank switch, lock, ...etc.

When u last change the fuel filter (I don't mean oil filter, this is petrol filter before fuel pump)?

When u last change fuel pump?

When u last drop your bike?

What have u done to the bike during the period since the last time when its working fine and the time it become like this?

 

I can help u open up and check you fuel tank, fuel filter, fuel pump and see whether there is anything in between that leaks.

 

When u start engine, is the petrol leaking out very fast until whole floor is wet? I had an encounter with my cbr400rrR last time. Dropped it and the carb needle come out of place. And whenever bike start, petrol flood the carb and overflow. So have u dropped the bike recently? Or have the bike suffer any impact?

went to a motordiam and its actually a cable inside that went loose. dono wad cable is that. he just tighten that for me and everythings fine now . thanks for all the help . anyway xiaogary where u live? maybe i come find u help me see wad thing my bike still needa change?

How about the tube? think u bring to ur mech to troubleshoot.. It quite dangerous while u riding with this stituation. It might expolde (worst case) Not joking matter.

Hey guys, just came back from town. My bike failed for the 2nd time. Couldn't start. When press the ignition, the cranking sounds goes softer till eventually die down.

Had to push bike up the slope at the far east plaza carpark, then push start down the slope.

Damn siong! Any1 can point out the prob here? 2nd time alreadi leh.

i tried starting the bike but the sound of the starter sounds very weak.. and also the starter sounds more and more softer and slower..

 

i tried of the enigtion and on back.. the netural lights all burning brightly.. but when i press the start button the netural lights and oil lights gets dimmer and the starter sound also more and more soft and slower "sometime also no sound at all after press start button for about 3-4sec"

 

The oil light is nt lighted up, the run switch is to on..

 

Any1 got any idea wat happened? also around how much is the repair cost?? thx..

I push up the slope myself and then roll down and start lor. Where got frd to help?

Aniwei, I experience the same symptoms as what u described- dim neutral and oil lights etc etc.....

From a fren's experience, I rode from my hse in jurong to changi and back. Something about riding long distance and at high speed "charging" the electrical system.....

i suspect.....

 

battery and rectifier... if you've not changed them. time to do so. esp rectifier for honda bikes... always the case...

 

65-75 for batt.

70-85 for rectifier.

 

if u're really suay.... coil might be burnt and u have to change that too if ya batt and rectifier are new...

yeah.... but not really high speed...

just high rpm that is more than 4.5k-5k rpm if i'm not wrong...

 

charging won't happen at idling.

my battery only 2 weeks old nia.. is it possible to change just the rectifier? also jeriwajac u tomolo wanna go check it out? in the morning bah.. my bike now at bukit timah.. if can we 2 go hkl change see can get cheaper nt.. haha..

So according to you, its either the batt, rectifier or coil. But is there a way to know which 1? Coz prefer not to change 1 thing, then realise its not that, then another another and also realise not that.. end up change all 3. Freaking ex!

Planning to do and planet say must call 1 day earlier and leave bike there for abt 1 day.

Got any place to recommend? Prefer to have it done within half a day.

If my rectifier spoit liao... after replace it.. do i need to change the batt as well? or still can use? i dun dare to try push start liao.. my first push start cost me 1.2K repairing it.. haha..

go to ur trusted bikeshop n check loh.they will b able to tell u.my mech told me tt my coil is weak but he say still can use n he will check again when i go change EO. so i suggest u stick to 1 bikeshop to do all e bike stuffs rather than hopping ard the island.
