fading due to disc and pads overheating.. OEM discs dun dissipate heat as fast as those floating ones.. for daily street use, OEM are fine.. unless u're going to abuse ur brakes heavily which doesn't occurs on the streets..

anyway, those boys there r quite technical with their CBRs, pehaps a little too obsessed... especially u Lmodel... muahaha... :D

good pads eat rotors, screwed up ones wreck rotors... best to use average ones if u r not hard on brakes.

floating discs r 2 segmented. inner-star & outer-ring. both bolt together by buttons at points ard the star. this allow the rotor to hv slight movement during braking 4 more even braking & less chances of warping. supposedly lighter oso..

if u r on a cbr, ur front would be floating rotors while the rear should be a typical round one. compare & u would know...

aft market ones performs better than OEM ones.. it's not full floating anyway, it's only semi floating. Only aft market discs are full floating.
