Hi guys,

I am going to respray my subframe (the frame that is at the tail section). I know I have to start by sanding the whole frame and wash and clean then leave to dry. I am thinking of spraying high temp silver spray. But before I do that do I need to spray on some kind of primer? If I missed something out please let me know too. Thank you. :)

hi temp spray dissolves easily when it comes in contact with petrol.

You might want to consider that

Hi, Thanks for your input. :)

But I dun think there will be any chance that the petrol will come in contact with the sub frame, coz it's at the tail section and also it will be totally covered by the tail fairings.

Anything else for me to take note, I should start to sand the sub frame tom. After I sand must I immediately spray or can I wait a day then spray? Any rust issues?

However I'm leaning towards powercoating the subframe. Since it's already off the bike, I can just bring it to the shop to powercoat. Any ideas where I can powercoat sub frame. Hopefully at reasonable price. :cheeky:
