motorcycle insurance issue - why stop at max 20% no claims discount

yeah they should reward safety and security conscious riders and raise premiums for reckless and dangerous riders with poor claims records

 

The problem here is how do u expect insurance company to know which riders r safe and which are reckless? By using the poor claims record alone does not really reflect the reality. Some safe riders might also get into accident, & authority might make a wrong statement saying its the riders fault, which in fact its not. I am sure u know all these situations. How then? I dont know.

 

I also agree with one of the earlier post saying, safe riders paying higher premium becoz of high claims by reckless riders. Its truely unfair, but what can the insurance companies do? I think they dont even bother to think about it.

 

Premiums keep increasing whereas NCD stops at 20%. In this case, I know whats best we can do. Its to stop riding & go back to BMW. Even if u got all the F-plate riders to support behind u to protest or request to increase the bikes NCD, I am very sure they wont even bother listening to u. Y? Becoz we riders have limited or even no choice to choose from.

 

Back in another country where riders or drivers hve the choice to buy or not to buy insurance, premiums keep decreasing 1. But when super old car bang ur new merc, what u can do is pray to god that the old car owner got money to repair ur new merc.

 

At the end of the day, sure got pros & cons in any law in different countries around the world. There is no use comparing, so just live the way u like it. Cheersss.....
