Inspection Question

Hi,

 

Hoping to get some answers as the LTA hotline won't be opened till tomorrow.

 

My bike inspection was last done on 11/6/2009. I received a letter from LTA yesterday, saying I am due for inspection on the 11/1/2010. I thought that inspection is needed to be done anually, and not every 6 months. Also to add my road tax was renewed for only 6 months previously by the bike shop, so it will end on the inspection date as well.

 

Does that mean when you renew your road tax for 6 months only, you will have to inspect your vehicle twice a year(every time you need to renew your road tax again)?

 

Another query is, is it true that if you don't have sufficient insurance coverage for the next tax renewal, LTA won't send you the renew road tax letter at all?
