Parallel importing of bikes

Nevertheless, it seems quite tedious and would like to find out if there's any shop or company out there does parallel imports of bikes.

Loois Motor has some parallel imports of bikes...

 

BUT beware when buying PI bikes...often you only get an "agent warranty" as the manufacturer warranty is only valid in the original country of sale. SO find out carefully what they will do when it goes wrong, and how long it will take. Double check with the official dealer if need be.

 

I know of one premium bike dealership in Singapore that since 1st January is charging $5000 to 'register' any PI bike with them, before they work on it. And also charge 25% more for working on PI bikes...your saving disappear very fast like that.

 

A bit of a surprise if you saved $3000 on the bike but have to pay $5000 for 'worldwide' manufacturer warranty repair. And some shops selling PI bikes don't tell you this when you buy.

Wow looks like STA Vehicle Inspection didn't have much hassle..."Just bring your bike and supporting documents"....Class!!!
